"Do you think they are going to get married?" Alia asked in a hushed tone before taking a dip of her cocktail.Purab Sood was talking to a girl, who apparently her mother forced upon him.
"Ofcourse not, he's Purab. No matter how much his mother tries to fix him up with girls, he'll never agree to get married." Vivaan answered and turned to me "So what's your story?"
"I came, I saw, I disappointed?" I joked and laughed at the glory of my words.
"No idiot, I mean what happened with you and Jay ?" Vivaan asks, his usual friendly grin intact.
"I like how you don't beat around the bush." I commended and continued,"He's married' to my cousin and one day, I kicked him in tje balls."
Vivaan kept staring at me, perhaps for me to continue the story but I just kept staring at him.
"So you didn't seduce him as the rumour is?" Vivaan inquired, making me laugh.
"You're very direct."I remarked,"Do I look like someone who would need to seduce men?"
Vivaan checked me out, not very discreetly and shook his head in denial.
"Pervy Jay tried to molest Yana, and the Puri family doesn't really believe her." Alia professed and I just nodded.
"Why isn't he in jail?" Vivaan asked, now in a very grim mood.
"First, nobody believed me. Second, it has been 3 years, so no evidence. Third, people still don't believe me." I counted the reasons on my fingertips but Vivaan didn't look impressed.
"Why should you bear the consequences of what he did?" Vivaan was adamant, to say the least.
"It's just-" I tried to find words. But the truth is, I didn't know. And I do bear the repercussions of that night. But I didn't know.
"Nevermind." Vivaan announced, calming himself down."We'll need to take care of it, but now I need to take care of a certain someone who isn't behaving very , uh - decently with my eldest brother." Vivaan walked off and I stared in the direction of his departure, and there she was. Kiara Jaiswal in a deep conversation with Kabir.
"Aren't you going to scare her away?" I asked Alia, still looking at the scene as Kiara now had her attention on Vivaan.
"Nah, he has eyes only for me." Alia confidently said with a grin.
I whistled,"To think of it, a few months ago you followed Advik around like a lost puppy, craving for his attention."
"That's the difference between Love and a crushed." She smiled walked towards a now alone Kabir.
"They look good, don't they?" I heard a voice say, a voice I have become rather accustomed to.
"As good as it can possibly get." I replied, as Virik came to stand beside me.
"You're not with your dearest brother-in-law today. " He taunted, making me freeze.
"You don't know anything." I claimed as I crossed my arms over my chest, "Besides aren't you too rude for someone who was apologizing just sometime ago?"
"Rude? I don't think so." He smirked, "Facts will be facts, Yana."
"Thank god you aren't a detective." I cracked up on my own joke before walking over to find a dance partner.
Virik can be rude, but I have mastered the art of not letting my emotions show.
