I'll admit it, I'm tempted.
She was chaos, she was a mess and but there is just something about her that pulls me almost as strong as gravity. Maybe it's the way she refuses to show pain and refuses to break down infront of me no matter how much I try to see the real her.
She's adamant to stay strong.
But there's something more, I'm attracted to her. And her laugh? It's contagious.
Maybe she isn't that bad, and actually worth it? So what if she's seduced men? Vivaan has seduced women all his life and I still love him. Maybe I'll like to be tempted.
It's difficult not to.
She was a delight for the first eyes, even with blue hair. But now, with her real hair colour? It's like seeing the real her.
I couldn't keep my eyes off her as she chats away with Vivaan and Alia. Maybe she's right, maybe I really am ignorant of the reality. Maybe I was too quick to judge.
With a determined mind, I swattered to where she stood and tapped on her bare shoulder. She turned around and almost looked shocked to see me.
"Would you care for a dance?" I asked as it was the most natural Thing in the world.
"No." She replied, trying to keep a straight face. I took her hand and dragged her to the dance floor.
"Everyone's watching." She observed as I placed my arms around her waist and placed hers on my shoulders. She noticed our position and scrunched her nose,"I don't think we're doing this right."
"I thought you didn't care." I replied.
"But you do." She rebuked, her feet moving in sync with mine but her eyes looking for prying relatives.
"I didn't know you care about me."
"Nonsense, I love people who hate me."
"I don't hate you."
"But you do." She reaffirmed.
"I don't hate you, I hate what you represent."
"What do I represent?"
"Chaos. Anarchism. Wrecklessness. Casual sexual encounters. Taboo relationships. That is, everything I despise. " I listed out what I observed she was trying to.
"And yet you claim to not hate me." She taunted with a sarcastic grin.
"Because that's not who you are." I stated and she stared at me perhaps trying to comprehend my words. I continued,"You're just a little girl, who had to grow up too soon."
"Who are you?" She asked.
"Virik Jindal."
"That's your name."
"That's all there is to me."
"Even you cannot be that boring. Let me in, what's your story?"
"Have you seen my brothers? They are kinda perfect."
"So are you."
"No, I'm boring." I repeat her words, and she suddenly stops movements.
"You're insecure." She chuckled, almost ironically."I guess we're not that different after all."
I dropped my hands from her waist, "See you in the evening, I'll be the one stripping."
"And now he's joking." She mutters under her breath as I turn around and walk away.
Insecure? Well, that's one way to put it.
