"But- but tomorrow is my wedding reception." A horror struck Asmara reasoned.

"Did someone say something?" Alia forrowed her eyebrows, as she looked for where the possible people who could say something offending stood. Which was, everywhere. Everyone knew about the incident, everyone was talking.

"You don't have to leave because of people!" Exclaimed Asmara.

"Yes, you shouldn't." Piped in Tarun as he leaned in from where he sat beside Asmara.

"I know, but I can't stand these people anymore."

"But- but it's my wedding reception!" Asmara said, trying to find some other reason.

"You know I love you, right?"

"Then stay. The most important people of my life should be with me on one of the most important days of my life." Asmara shrieked and Tarun nodded.

"I'm important?"

"I told you something is wrong with her." Asmara looked over at Alia.

"That means, yes you're very important." Alia said as she wrapped her arm around my shoulder and gave me a side hug.

"And you got rid of your blue hair for me." Asmara said and I nodded.

"I must love you a lot. And so I'm, staying. Now fix me up with some nice Delhi boy, I can't do long distance anything." I exclaimed.

"You already have a very nice Delhi boy who's whipped." Tarun said.

"Stop eavesdropping. " Asmara glared at Tarun and then turned to look at me, and then finally setting her eyes behind me."I think you need to talk to somebody."

I turned around to find Virik standing behind me. I can't do this.

"Can we talk? Somewhere private?" He asked and I nodded, not wanting to create another scene. He started walking outside the banquet hall and I followed him. He stopped just outside the door of the banquet , in the hallway.

"What do you want to talk about?" I asked as soon as we came to a halt.

"I do trust you, I just don't know what happened between you and Jay before.I mean I know something happened." He urged.

"Why does it matter anyway?"I asked angrily.

"I don't want you cheating on me, you're mine."

Oh boy, no you didn't.

"This was a bad idea." I sighed."I'm a person, okay? I can't be yours! And this was just a bad idea. We should just stay away from each other."

"But I do trust you! Why don't you get it?" He inquired, his jaw clenched now.

"If you did trust me, you wouldn't have to ask about what happened in the hallway. And even if something did happen with Jay earlier, I was with you today!" I could feel my heart beating faster from the adrenaline rush I was feeling.

"Was?" He looked hurt as he acknowledged the one word.

"Yes, was." I said and looked away.

"Okay."

He took a step back and turned his back to me, taking steps away from me.I wanted to grab him and beat some sense into his brain.

In this moment, I don't know if I love him or hate him.
