Author's pov
You were chatting with Hinata while you both watch Kageyama hitting serves like crazy.
"I heard from Tanaka-senpai you play volleyball before but, why do you help us play volleyball?" He asked to know more about you.
"Uhh...w-well you see—" You see a figure ran pass the corner of your eye and received Kageyama's serve perfectly. Hinata and Kageyama were surprised at the epic receive. You sighed and mumbled,
"The team's guardian deity, Nishinoya Yuu." You looked at him with a smirk, Hinata approached your cousin and stared at him with awe, you furrowed your eyebrows, wondering what's he gonna do.
"Y-You're shorter than me!" He said in surprise, you snorted and started to laugh at your cousin's reaction.
"Oi (N/n)-chan! Quit laughing! You're shorter than me by 3 centimeters! There's no way he didn't say the same to you!" He pointed at you with anger and embarrassment. He's not wrong you are small. (Sorry for the tall girls out there :v)
You had to wipe a tear from your eye from what he said.
"That's funny...Hinata didn't even tell me that...when we first met..."
"Damn it!" He was so embarrassed that you started wheezing.
After a while Daichi introduced to the first years your cousin, the libero of the team.
"Nishinoya-san, why did you pick this school?" Kageyama asked the libero
"Its because..." you facepalmed since you knew what his answer is.
"...I like the girl's uniform." They both look dumbfounded from his answer, you try to walk away but he pulled you back and wrapped his arm around you.
"I mean look at my cousin! Isn't she cute." You didn't resist knowing he won't let go of you, you look at the two boys looking away with a blush.
He suddenly let go of you that made you lose balance and fell down. He charged towards Kiyoko, the pretty manager.
"Kiyoko-san~! You're the reason why I'm here-Gah!" Kiyoko gave him a slap to the face, while Hinata was helping you get back up, you gave Kiyoko a thumbs up for making your cousin settle down.
Your pov
"Is Asahi-san back yet?" They all looked down and replied 'no' to him.
"Tch, I'm not coming back unless he joins again!" He walked out the gym in anger.
"Wait Yuu-chan!" I tried to stop him but I can't. I turned around to Daichi and asked him.
"Daichi-san, what class is Asahi-san in." I looked at him straight in the eyes, pleading for an answer.
"He's in Class 3, why are you as- Wait (L/n)-san!" "Thanks!" I ran off the gym, bumping into Yamaguchi in the process.
"Sorry Yamaguchi-kun! I'm in a rush, see you guys later!"

Class 3...class 3- ah here it is!
"E-Excuse me- s-sorry!" I bumped into a tall guy with a beard and a man-bun.
"I'm s-sorry! Are you hurt?" He asked in a kind manner
"I'm fine, is uh Asahi-san here?"
"Um I'm Asahi, can I help you?" My face turned a little red from embarrassment.
"Oh uh, I'm (L/n) (F/n), my cousin is a libero at the volleyball club. He said he won't come back unless you do. C-Can you please come back to the clu-"
"S-Sorry I can't-" "Is it because of your match with Dateko." He was surprised with what I said. I looked down and fiddle with my thumbs.
"I knew it since he told me about it, I know how hard it is to spike around their iron wall but, is it a reason to stop playing the game." I looked up at him, seeing his saddened face.
"Sorry I just can't, I'm sorry." He said in a regretful voice, I put a smile on my face which made him wonder why I'm smiling.
"It's all right, I don't want to force you to it because, I also know what it feels like to lose and thinks it my fault. It's all right! I know you'll come back eventually, thank you for your time Asahi-san." I bowed my head and head off going to class.

"Hey (F/n)-chan, do you have any notes in science that I can borrow? We have a 30-item quiz today and I didn't study at all. Please let me borrow it." Your best friend, Satsuki (random girl name), kept pleading to (L/n).
"Yeah sure here you go- Wait we have a quiz?!?! Gah I'm not prepared! *sighs* its fine, it's science after all, I can handle it." (L/n) just brushed it off and helped Satsuki with it so she can remember a bit of it.
"Hey (L/n)-san, c-can you help us too? Tsukki is confused as well-"
"Urusai Yamaguchi." Tsukishima looked at him in annoyance
"Gomen Tsukki." He gave a light chuckle.

"All right class, you have 1 hour to finish this quiz and you can start......" He looked at his watch, waiting for it to make a full minute.
"...Now!" Everyone then started to answer their papers but after 10 minute (L/n) stood up and gave her paper.
"What the hell?! She's done already!?"
"Wait what how?!"
"Damn she's smart!"
"I can't even get pass the 1st question?!"
The whispers heard in the room left and right became silent when the teacher hushed them. She walked back to her chair, feeling uneasy with the stares of her classmates.
She looked at Tsukishima, Yamaguchi and Satsuki giving the a 'you can do it' smile, then drew in her notebook with the extra time.
