Act 3: Inside the Conscience

Claire's P.O.V.

The best way to know of your surroundings is to fully immerse yourself in it.

So I decided to go to what the Earth people call "school".

Walking through the halls of it, I seemed to get lost. The architecture was nice, but I could really use a map.

"Hi there!" I jumped out of statement. In front of me was a girl with very long brown hair... AND SHE WAS TALKING TO ME! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! "Didn't mean to startle you." Oh. She didn't? "You must be that new student transferring today. I can tell by how lost you look."

Claire, stop looking so pitiful!

"..." WHY AREN'T YOU SAYING SOMETHING, CLAIRE?!

"Uh... I'm Serenity. I'm in Class Three."

"I'm Claire... Class Four, I think."

"Well, see you around! I have to go to class! Yours is down the hall and on your right!"

"Thank you!" I called after her.

I walked into the classroom and found a seat near the back by a window. A girl with brown hair that was a bit longer than shoulder-length sat at the desk next to me soon after.

But, when the class began, and Mr. Fredriksan, my homeroom teacher, spoke, everything got hazy.

"....we have the honor of hosting a new student. Please introduce yourself." I'm pretty sure that's my cue to do something.

So I stood up.

"Hello." I bowed. "My name is Claire..." Earthians have surnames. Hmm... "...Nova. It's very nice to meet you all."

When I sat back down, I could hardly hear or see anything.

Eventually, I passed out... or that's how it felt.

"Claire..."

"Who's there?"

"You could say that..." And then the source of the voice appeared. "I am you... inside your mind."

"What?"

"Time is short, so I must tell you this quickly."

Intermission moment...

"So... you're saying that I have to find four other senshi, fight monsters, AND work on unlocking my powers? YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!"

"I'm afraid this is true. There is many a burden on your shoulders, Claire."

"Claire?" That voice... Serenity's voice!

"You must be going now. Goodbye."

And then that was it. I was back in the real world.

"CLAIRE!" Serenity hugged me when I woke up.

"Uh..."

"Sorry. It's just, I came as soon as I heard you passed out in homeroom and you've been here since. School's over, so you should probably go home."

"Right... sorry for the worries."

"It's all right."

When I left, I heard the sound of an explosion nearby.

It's that one-letter-name-X-who-doesn't-have-any-redeeming-qualities guy again... He isn't gonna quit until I say something actually nice about his name for once, will he?

I ran into an alleyway and pulled out my brooch from my pocket. I really need to find a more efficient way to use this thing...

"NEOL STELLAR POWER, MAKE UP!"

I then transformed into Sailor Neol.

"Let's do this..."
