Who wants to get pummeled?

"If someone hands you a crying baby," Fairy Godmother asked, "do you, A, curse it? B, lock it in a tower? C, give it a bottle? Or D, carve out its heart?"

Lonnie and I were peaking through the doorway of Remedial Goodness 101. The VKs were the only ones in class, and seemed very uninterested. Figures. I mean, the two minutes we had been there, it had been boring.

Evie raised her hand confidently. "Evie," Fairy Godmother called on her.
"What was the second one?" She asked politely.

Lonnie snickered, and I nudged her.
"Shhh!" I whispered.

Fairy Godmother looked up at us, but not before we hid behind the wall.

"Oh. Okay. Anyone else?" She asked.

Silence followed, and we peaked our heads in again. "Mal?" Fairy Godmother asked.

"C, give it a bottle," she replied. The Headmistress smiled.
"Correct. Again."
"You are on fire, girl!" Carlos complimented.
"Just pick the one that doesn't sound like any fun."
"Oh," the rest of them realized.

Lonnie laughed again, and I slapped my hand over her mouth. Jane walked briskly past us into the classroom. Lonnie took my hand slowly from her mouth.
"Sorry," she mouthed.

Jane whimpered as she passed the VKs, and ran up to her mother. "Hello, dear one," her mother said sweetly.
"Hi," she whispered. "You need to sign off on early dismissal for the coronation," She nervously handed her mother a clipboard, while glancing back at the VKs.

"Everyone here remembers my daughter Jane?"
"Mom, no!" Jane pleaded, wanting to get out of there.
"It's okay," Fairy Godmother said. "Jane, this is everyone."

Jane looked at the VKs nervously, but then Fairy Godmother suddenly saw me. "Oh, princess (Y/N)," she bowed. The VKs all turned back to look at us, and Jane averted her eyes to me. Lonnie and I smiled nervously, stepping into the open doorway. "Do you need something?" Fairy Godmother asked me sweetly.

Lonnie and I looked at each other nervously. Mal looked at me skeptically, while Carlos gave me a small smile. "Um..." Lonnie tried to think up something.
"Um, I was hoping I could... speak to Jane," I said, walking forward. "About the coronation." I smiled, trying to make it convincing.

The Headmistress smiled, and gestured for Jane to follow me. I looked back at the VKs before we left. "Bye guys," I waved. They waved to me, and Lonnie and I ushered Jane out of the room.

We went a little ways down the hall, and Jane stopped me. She quickly bowed and straightened her dress. "Y-You're Highness...what is it?" She asked nervously. "Is it your coronation dress? Or maybe the seating arrangement, cause if the villains need to be in the back, I can do that. Or maybe it's your schedule. Of course it's the schedule. Your schedule is-"
"Jane," I stopped her, putting my hands on her shoulders. She sighed. "Everything is perfect. You just seemed a little stressed."

She laughed. "Yeah, I guess I am. It's just, the coronation, and now the villain kids are here, and...I-I'm just kind of freaked out!" She nervously smiled. "B-But it's not something you should be worried about, y-your highness."

"Jane," I smiled, "please just call me (Y/N)."
She smiled. "Okay." She sighed and glanced at her clipboard. "Oh no! I have a meeting with the choir about the music for the coronation in two minutes! I'm sorry your-(Y/N), but I have to go." She did one more quick bow before rushing down the hall.

Lonnie looked at me and laughed. "I'm glad you don't get stressed over all your princessing duties." I rolled my eyes as she put an arm around me.
"Oh please, I am plenty stressed."
"Well, you handle it well," she said.
