Deep Trouble

Alexis's POV

At the scrapyard, Strongarm, Sideswipe, Jetstorm, Slipstream, and Grimlock were having a race while dodging some obstacle courses. I wasn't watching though. I was with Fixit.

I was seeing if the ground bridge would function properly, and it did. Good thing.

I then see Val and Pup coming in my direction. Val was limping a little. She still had that sprained leg. It was healing little by little though.

"Hey. How did the race go?" I asked.

"It went fine. But, I think something was off about Grimlock," Val whispered the last part to me.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Grimlock looked hurt," Pup answered.

"Really? I guess we're gonna have to keep an eye on him. I'll use my good eye," I stated.

Just then, Fixit picked up a Decepticon signal.

"I'm picking up a Decepticon signal submerged far offshore," Fixit stated.

"I have a feeling I'm about to hear the word 'ground bridge,'" I heard Sideswipe say.

"Alexis and I have been working on it since your last outing. The ground bridge will function perfectly," Fixit explained.

"'Will?'" Sideswipe asked.

"Should," Fixit then said.

"Well, it is the most direct route to our Decepticon," Bee said as he looked at the ground bridge. "Looks like we've come to a bridge. Let's cross it," Bee then said. Once again, we were met by silence as they walked away.

"It's an Earth saying," Bee stated.

"You might want to stick to the rallying cries, lieutenant," Strongarm said.

"That was a rallying cry. I was try-- I-- Oh," Bee said. He then looked down at Val and I. "Val, you know the drill," Bee said. Val let out a sigh.

"Yeah. I stay here until my leg is better," Val said.

"Very good. We'll be back later. Alexis, stay here. We might be traveling underwater," Bee said as he, along with the others, walked to the ground bridge.

As Fixit activated the ground bridge, I saw Grimlock was in pain. It looked like his side hurt.

"You okay, Grim?" I asked.

"Took a pretty good shot out there," Grimlock told me.

"Maybe we should have Fixit take a look at you before we go through," I then told him.

"All he'd find is one handsome Dinobot ready to rumble," Grimlock then said as he made his way to the others.

"Coordinates set to your underwater destination," Fixit stated.

"Turn on your comms so we can talk below the surface," Bee said as they all turned on their comm links.

They all then walked through the ground bridge. After they walked through, we all heard the sound of water gushing towards us.

"Russell, is that your stomach, or...?" Denny started to ask.

We then saw a flood of ocean water gushing out of the ground bridge. Bee wasn't kidding when he said they were traveling underwater.

We all then started yelling as the water started to carry us away from the ground bridge.

I knew that Val couldn't swim because of her sprained leg. So I swam to her and grabbed her by the arm and kept her close while she held onto Pup.
