Chapter 11: HUMBLE.
Sept 1st
Sunday

A:N💕: I know I told y'all you were getting a walk through but, I have a trick up my sleeve.

2:06am

Jai'yanna's Pov:

I sat up, alert, searching for the man who was supposed to be in bed with me but wasn't. I patted his side and then reached for my phone, about to call him, but stopped midway. Is this really that serious, too? I had to ask myself. No.

The club didn't close until 6 am, so I was torn between staying and going to the club to see what was happening. I started to get ideas; the house was eerily quiet, and I didn't even hear him, so he had left me alone in the middle of the night.

It seemed like a good idea to go to the club tonight, honnnaay.

Bastard ass bitch.

I slung the blanket over the bed and went straight to my clothes, jewelry, and shoes, minimizing my belongings. I grabbed two large Goyard duffle bags from his closet and stuffed them full of clothes, but it was worth it. That's when I received a call from "Lucas."

Incoming Call—

"Hello?" I answered.

"Jai'yanna, we need you to come down to the warehouse right now!" Roman spoke clearly and sternly.

"Is everything alright?" I quickly slipped on a sweat suit and some slides. "Send a car to my current address."

"No need. We have a car waiting out front. The driver will brief you before you arrive. See you soon." Roman hung up.

I made that my cue and made my way out of Christian's apartment with my bags, a purse, and my phone. As I crossed the walkway, my ankle reminded me that we were still in pain. I winced with every step, the pain intensifying. I glanced over to see if Christian's car was there, but it wasn't. Isn't that something a man would do all that to keep you and still can't keep you?

3 minutes later

An all-black Mercedes Benz pulled up in front of me and parked. I already knew what was going on; I opened the back door and tossed all my stuff inside before taking a seat myself. "Good morning, Don." The driver nodded his head with a smile and drove off. "I grabbed you a cup of coffee before your arrival."

"Good morning, sir. Could we start the briefing a bit early?" I asked, taking sips from my coffee cup as I resumed my work on Blocking Christian. I can't afford him to mess up my carefully planned program. I've invested too much time and effort into this to waste it now.

The briefing materialized as a small folder containing all the information I need at this moment. We currently have a man named Kane in our warehouse. He claims to have information about the one they refer to as 'Faith'. I'm not sure how they found him or how he found us, but nonetheless, he's going to take us much further than we could have imagined.
