I informed Jaylen about my recent encounter with Junior.
This situation is bound to escalate into a conflict.
No one emerges victorious when family feuds arise.
I had polished my pistol and repeatedly reminded myself that I would never use it against my own blood. However, I am compelled to infiltrate and conquer. This has been a long-standing plan, and Junior is aware of it.
"Don, the Godfather wants to send two more teams with you." Mr. Wallace attempted to inform me and my team, but they were more displeased than I was.
"We don't need help. We've got this under control." Wesley donned a bulletproof vest and holstered his gun.
"Yeah, I don't think we need anyone else involved in this. Especially with Kane running rampant." Paris seconded.
"Adam and I are the best shooters in our division." Roman pulled Adam close. "We're a five-man team."
"You're going underground. This is different from before, so I "asked" for security." Mr. Wallace growled, causing even me to jump. "I know you're the Don and this is your empire, but as your sole advisor, it's my responsibility to ensure your survival. I can't afford any mistakes from anyone, and if we lose a man in battle today, we may lose a brother." He walked away casually.
I took a deeper breath.
"With that in mind, keep your eyes on each other at all times. I won't leave a man behind today. If you die tonight, let it be in my arms at the finish line, and nothing before. You're my team, my family, and my faith. I have faith in you all, so let's go get this done! I'm ready for this to be over. We're not running around in the city we run, and we're not getting chased in it either. If anyone sees Junior, you have permission to shoot to kill—I don't have any loyalty to a man without integrity. That's my order. My next step is to assume the target and proceed with the mission, regardless of my status...."
