I sat in my grand hotel suite at LA's Continental, gazing at my reflection in the vanity mirror while listening to Lil Uzi Vert.
She don't want me, I'm running wild You know I respect her on that level She don't want me then I'mma let her Go over there with that broke fella Walk off my Saint Laurent, that leather My new chick I swear that she better Want me back, never (ooh)
I had a feeling today was going to be perfect. I got up from my seat, watching my mom hold my dress with my sister. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" I smiled.
Walking up to them both, I said, "No, you're beautiful." My mother looked up at me. "Thank you." I gave her a hug.
"Why are you thanking me? You know your blessed baby gods gift. Thank him for that." She laughed.
"We'll thank you both for I finally have my mother and sister back in my life." I bit my lip, watching her leg keep tapping. Her anxiousness building.
"My dad's out." I whispered.
My moms foot stopped but the expression on her face was stern. "He's out of retirement early. Great. So I should be expecting a man I've ran from y'all entire life." She chuckled.
"I'm sorry." I dropped my head."I wish it was more I could do."
"Baby, you did everything you could. It's my turn to show you why Daddy can't mess with me." She became stern. "Watch your sister for me. I'm going to prepare myself for his arrival. Having both my baby daddies in the same room is bound to cause trouble. Keep her with you. She's trained and highly skilled. Use her if necessary, but our plan is set. The plane leaves tonight, and we'll be on it until then. I love you." My mother walked over to me, placing a kiss on my head. "Don't go kill this!"
"Forever . I love you." I cried a little as she said goodbye to Gracie.
My hotel suite door slammed shut. "Forever. I love you." Tears streamed down my face as she bid farewell to Gracie.
