Dirac heard the painful pleas of a man he felt absolutely no remorse towards. If anything, Dirac wished he was the one doing the torturing.
Finally the cries stopped and a few minutes later Markus walked out wiping away the drops of blood in his hand.
"Don't worry, he's still alive." He laughed smoothly, throwing the two men a once over. "Well apparently Dalais wasn't his only target." He threw a glance towards Dirac. "You were too."
"What? Was it Rogue?" Dirac asked desperately.
"That, I don't know. He said his contacts never gave out names but they were more than one. Sometimes he'd talk to a woman and sometimes a man with a weird accent but he didn't know who they were."
"So Rogue is in the clear?" Josh asked thoughtfully.
"I doubt it." King was the one to say. "If this job was supposed to be anonymous then Rogue might as well hire someone to make instructions."
Dirac breathed deeply as they seemed to have reached a dead end. His phone rang and he reached to get it.
"Yeah!"
"Mr Dewitt, there's a young lady here trying to fight her way in. She claims she's family." Thriller spoke in a very calm voice dispite the noise that was in the background. He could hear what was undeniably Jasmine's voice.
"Let her through, but keep an eye on her." He hung up.
"That is Thriller calling. Jasmine, Dalais' sister is back." He told the men.
"Why the hell is she back?" Josh spat. "For all we know, she's involved."
"Can I-"
"Don't worry, let's just go." King suggested. "I'll guard you myself tonight because now you're also the target."

The hospital was becoming a second home to Dirac. It was after all where he found his heart more content and it was all because of the man who laid on the hospital bed.
Once King and Dirac got to Dalais' room, only Bones was outside, munching a burger hungrily.
"Where's Thriller?" King asked.
"He's inside with the sister." Bones said before throwing the rest of the burger in his mouth, chewing disgustingly at it.
King stayed back with Bones as Dirac made his way inside. Thriller stood at the other side of the bed, cautiously checking every movement Jasmine made.
Jasmine on the other hand was sitted on the chair, her small hands on Dalais'. She raised her head and looked at Dirac, tears streaming down her face.
Thriller took that as his cue to leave and joined the other men outside, leaving Dirac and Jasmine together.
"So this is why you didn't even spare me a glance the night I invited you over for dinner?" Jasmine made a sad smile, looking back at her brother. "You wanted him."
"I still do." Dirac told her as he walked toward the bed to Dalais' other side. He kissed his forehead shamelessly and let out a deep sigh. He had been waiting all day to get here and see this man.
"What happened?" She asked almost breathlessly, holding a sob Dirac suspected was going to roll out soon.
"Your baby daddy happened." Dirac spoke through clenched teeth, his anger threatening to explode.
"Rogue!?" She sounded shocked but Dirac didn't buy it. She put her hands gently on her very visible baby bump and frowned at Dirac. "You're mistaken?"
"Am I? What do you know about Rogue, Jasmine? You just slept with him and assumed you've zoomed into his soul?"
"I didn't...he-"
"Really? Isn't that his child you're bearing? Did you know your man is gay?"
"Shut up and listen to me." Jasmine hissed. "I didn't sleep with Rogue, okay. I don't even know how you knew about the baby but... anyway I'm just his surrogate, his and Franco's, his partner."
"What?" Dirac blurted, shock washing over him. Just how gay was this man? Just how much did he not know about his father?
"Gabriela doesn't know, she'd kill us all. That's why I've stayed away for so long, so not to be seen by anyone until the baby is born. I needed the money, and they were paying me a lot, even promised me more when the baby is born. Why would Rogue want to kill Dalais?"
"For the company. For Elizabeth's shares. His company is collapsing."
"Bullshit. Rogue doesn't give a rat's ass about that shit-storm. He's the one who helped Ally start her company to begin with, he wouldn't want the shares back. He has been trying to run his company down. He has another one, with Franco. Built from about 9 years ago. It's doing well too, I'm sure you've heard of it. The Dec Construction Company."
"The Dec? Franco Decmiller? He invested in my company." Dirac started pacing. "So much doesn't make sense. What about his lover, Ramiah? How about Rowan's wife?"
"Ramiah!?" Jasmine thought through the name until realisation washed over her face. "Ohhh, I heard them speak of him. They were just investigating him for something. Rogue was never going to sleep with the man. He never slept with Rowan's wife either. Amelia asked help from Franco, they are friends. Rowan was abusing her and she needed out. They took advantage of that to pull Amelia out and run down the Dewitt Enterprises. They spread the rumours themselves."
"Let's assume all that has some reasonable explanation. How about the fact that Ignacio Palmer is on Rogue's payroll."
"The drunk driver who killed my parents?"
"He's a hitman, Jasmine."
"I don't... Rogue never... no." She cried. "I don't know about that."
"Come with me then, Jasmine. Let me protect you. You're the only family Dalais has left."
"I can't... the baby. I can't just leave."
"That's the reason to leave though. What if they are behind all this? Are you okay giving your kid to murderous psychopaths?"
"They are not, okay. I just trust Franco and Rogue."
"The gay Rogue who disowned his only son because he was gay?"
Before Jasmine could respond a call came through. She gave Dirac a guilty look before answering the call.
"Hey, I'm still at the hospital wai-" she was cut off by whoever she was talking to and listened carefully. "I'm with Dirac and his guards." Pause. "No I only had breakfast with him yesterday, he said we would meet for my appointment today but he never pitched." Pause. "Franco, my brother is in hospital, I had to see him." Pause. "Yah, okay. Let me know when you find him." Then she hung up.
"What was that?"
"I'd like to take you up on that offer and stay with you tonight." Jasmine smiled awkwardly before her eyes turned completely sad. "Rogue has gone missing."
