"Me?" Jasmine excitedly asked but Dirac ignored her.
"For you it's just the house. Ally put it on a 10year lock. Which means it's yours but you can't sell or rent it to anyone for the next 10years." Dewitt pointed out. He straightened up and focused on Dalais, in the process pushing his plate from him. "You were out of the country last week so it was hard to reach you to come for the reading. Rogue wanted it over and done with so he requested it should be read without you."
"Okay. So what happened?" As soon as Dalais asked, Dirac threw a glance at Jasmine who stood abruptly and left without even excusing herself. Sadly for her, Dirac didn't even seem to be affected.
"She has shares in your company, that she bought from your sister."
"I remember that."
"She's returning them back to you and giving you some shares in the mega company I didn't even know she had... but there's a condition." Dirac said with a restraint voice, looking desperate.
"What condition?"
"See, I also get the shares she had in one of my companies back... and half the shares in hers. But... her condition is that you and I live together under one roof for half a year."
"Six months!?"
"I think that's what half a year means."
"Why?"
"Some dum reason... she says she believes we have no one after she's gone so it will give us a chance to be brothers again so we have each other like we had her when she was alive."
"That's ridiculous." Dalais laughed but to some extend he knew for his case, she was right. Ally was all he had as a support system.
Sure he had a sister but Jasmine gave a fuck only about Jasmine. Everyone else can go screw themselves as far as the little minx was concerned.
"I know but that's the condition she made."
"So then what if we defy the condition?"
"Your half and company will fall to Jasmine and mine to Rogue."
"Damn your sister is a mastermind." Dalais praised, pouring the wine Dirac had brought into a glass. Ally had known she would back both men in the corner if she pulled out the big guns.
Dirac hated his father and Dalais would never let Jasmine's hands back on those shares. She was likely to sell them off to just anyone who might even destroy the whole company.
Bernard Euless was really something for giving those shares to Jasmine." So when does the six months start?"
"You can move to my hotel next week."
"I'm not leaving my comfortable house to share a hotel room with you Dewitt."
"So what do you suggest, Euless?"
"You can move in here for six months."
"What about your sister?"
"She has a house now. Tomorrow she's out."
"So Monday?"
"Tomorrow if you wish."
"Thank you for agreeing to this."
"I'm in the same situation you're in. Let's just try to make it bearable."
"To being housemates." Dirac raised his wine glass and after consideration, Dalais raised his.
"To being housemates." Somehow Dalais was not looking forward to any of it.

"You're kicking me out?" Jasmine came down as soon as Dirac had left. She was looking at her brother with loathing he was growing very accustomed to.
"Indeed I am." Dalais stated as he loaded the dishwasher, a smile playing on his face.
"Where am I supposed to go, Dalais?"
"If my memory serves me right, you've just inherited a house." He walked passed her towards the stairs but Jasmine blocked him just before he climbed."That house is huge, I can't afford to live in there. The bills..."
"That's what jobs are for, Jasmine." He cut her mid-sentence. "To pay bills. Get one, I have one, they are great. They even give you money to pay for the expensive life you have such a liking to."
"Don't patronize me, Euless. I deserve to have my shares back, give me my shares back." All strands of control Dalais was holding on to jumped out of the window dead.
"Deserve? You don't deserve anything Jasmine. You sold those shares, and refused to sell them to me. My father's shares."
"He was my father too. I made a mistake and I've been paying for it."
"You always make mistakes. You took every money to your name and spend it all on that husband of yours. You tell me you've been paying for it, how? You've been smooching off Ally without shame and you stand here to tell me you've been paying for it. You haven't slept on the streets yet so you haven't paid enough."
"Is that what will make you happy? To see me on the streets begging?"
"I don't give a shit anymore. Just leave my house first thing tomorrow morning. Please." He pushed her aside and walked up.
"But I'm your sister, Dalais. The only family you have left." Dalais blocked all his hearing and just walked away.
