Weekdays, from a.m. to p.m., we adhere to a strict regimen. Everything in our lives controlled. But then something like the murder of Jason Blossom happens, and you realize there is no such thing as control. There is only chaos. Nevertheless, some of us strive to impose and maintain order in what is, fundamentally, an orderless world. A fact which would very soon be confirmed in ways none of us could have foreseen.

I was just having dinner with my dad and suddenly, I look at my phone and I get loads of messages from my friend Alexis down in Los Angeles with images of my mum with her dad. Her dad, James Angel, is one of the top music and film producers in the world, everybody knows him and they're just holding hands and getting too close. "Dad I'll just be back in a sec," I said as I headed up to my room to call Alexis. "Girl what took you so long? I texted you like two minutes ago!". I forgot how annoying her voice was, it's kinda high pitched and starts to break sometimes like when you're going through puberty. "I was too busy being shocked. How long have you known about this?". "Not that long, I only just found out when my dad said he's inviting his new lady friend to dinner tomorrow night so I followed him around today. Lila you know I like your mum sometimes but my dad is old and can't tell the difference between someone using him for his fame or someone who actually sees him as an actual person.". I understood her as Alexis used to live in Riverdale for a few years before her mum passed away. Her dad has just been finding it hard to get back out there but my mum would never do this, would she? "You need to get down here and tell your mum to stop her 'I'm trying to be young but it's not working because I'm old' nonsense. I'm sick of him getting hurt, he's all I have Lila please.". "Lex what do you want me to say to her? If she couldn't stay for my dad, what makes you think she would come back for me? She even basically told me to even leave my dad on his own and just do whatever's best for me. Just keep an eye on them and keep me updated.". "I've missed you Lila, can't wait to see you soon Lala adios.". After the phone cut off, I just couldn't stop thinking about it. My mum can't be serious after what's she done to this family, to my dad like how could she do this and not say anything?

I jumped off my chair as my alarm started blasting in my ear. Ow, my bum! How is it morning already? I quickly got dressed, screamed bye and ran over to Archie's. "Red open your stupid door or I'll climb through your window!". Suddenly, the door was open to reveal Archie just soaked in water and wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist. I hate him... I hate him... Inner peace. "Good morning to you, too brown eyes," He said, smiling at me with the biggest smirk on his face. Ugh I hate guys who know they're hot, makes them annoying but I just wanna grab his ass and kiss his lips till they fall off. "You are so annoying!". I went up to his room and shut the door but he still walked in like he just wanted to grab me and eat me up. "You're giving me that look again Archie.". "What look Lila?" He starts to come close to me then puts my hair behind my ear as he looks me in the eyes. "That look.". "I can't help it, you're so beautiful Lila and I just want us to be together forever," Archie then kisses my forehead and kisses me for what seems like not enough time. "Remember that talk we were supposed to have, I think we should have a little talk about it later now put on some clothes so we can go to school," I said as I pushed him away from me and turned around, ugh he'll be the death of me. I don't know how I'm going to survive. "Right. I'm going to Betty's you sexual animal!". I screamed as I ran out with my eyes. I started banging on Betty's door and Betty opened the door. "Good morning to you too Lila," Betty says we both start walking to school. "It's been awhile since it was just us two walking to school. I've missed it and I've missed you. That's why I have something to tell you B, a good friend of mine has sent pictures of my mum and her dad getting close together and she thinks that they could be together. My mum could maybe be using this guy as he's famous but I figured my girl and I could team up like the good old days and find out how much of this is real," Betty nods as we link arms. "Of course Lila besides I've missed our detective days but just one question, when do we start?".
