The next day, we all headed to school but Betty approached me while we were walking behind the boys about something crazy. "You want me to do what?" I said as Betty tried shushing me. "I need you to help me with an interview I'm doing on Ms.Grundy, just to find out more about her as we don't really know about her or why she decided to come to Riverdale?". I understand Betty wants to help Archie but this is next level craziness. I like it but for the sake of Archie, I can't exactly get involved. "I wanna help... But my dad really needs me right now and I promised Archie to help write some songs since he needs some advice. Why don't you ask the next best thing? Jughead would be happy to help you and I bet he totally likes you B." I said as she looks at Jughead and starts smiling to herself. Archie looks back at me and smiles, giving butterflies but Jughead punches him in the arm as he was staring at me too long. I feel bad like I'm hiding the fact that I am kinda with Archie and I don't want to hide that from her. "I think I can handle this on my own." Betty says. "Just don't go crazy, I know what you're like woman." I reply and we just laugh as we head into school and go our separate ways. As I head into the music room, I hear the door slam behind me and I turn to see Archie pulling me in for a hug. "Red! You almost gave me a heart attack. What took you so long?" I asked wrapping my arms around his neck. "Jug just wouldn't stop ranting about losing the drive-in but I promise from now till lunch, I am all yours my Lila." He says as he leans in to kiss me with his lips that just feel like silk pillows. His hands were all over my waist and mine were just messing up his hair. He pulls back for a minute and just looks deeply in my eyes. "I never really asked if you were okay after what happened with your parents. Are you okay?" He asked. "I don't know. I was so happy because of you that I totally forgot. I saw my dad just leave so early and he looked so lost, I just wanted to run and give him a hug but he was just gone. I knew things were bad but I didn't know they were this bad. When we were in Europe, I guess I was having too much fun to even notice what was going on with them. My mum was too busy with her events and shows while dad probably felt like an outsider.". Archie just pulls me in for a hug and strokes my hair while whispering things in my ear to calm me down. "You are amazing, you know that don't you?" I said then giving him a peck. "And you are just so sweet but your parents will work things out and hopefully things will turn out for the better.". He was right, my dad isn't selfish like my mum so no matter what happens, I'll always have him by my side. "Shouldn't you be heading to your football meeting or do you plan on kissing me for the whole day?" I say as he looks at time then puts his head on my shoulder. "Are we still on for tonight?" He asks. "Yeah I am expecting a lot of cotton candy and popcorn out of you." I say as he laughs and kisses me goodbye.

After Archie drops me off at home, I see my dad looking through mail. "Hey dad are you going to the drive-in tonight?". "I'm just going to be delivering some snacks but I don't know if I'll stay for the movie." I nod and hear a knock at the door to reveal Kevin as we were going to get ready together. "Hey Mr Landon, Bye Mr Landon!" He says as I drag him upstairs. "Kev, I have something top secret to tell you. Archie and I... Are a thing!" Kevin screams and gives me a big hug. "Finally Larchie or Aila? Hmm I think team Larchie is a better fit but that means we have got to get you looking good for your date." He says as we pull some outfits for me to try. After sometime, we finally settled on my favorite white lace top and black ripped jeans with my cute ankle boots. "You look hot for your date but I wish I was going with my favorite girl." He says while we walk downstairs. "Me too but I'll come say hi and give you a million kisses." I say giving him a hug as he goes to pick up Veronica and I see Archie as his eyes look me up and down. "Wow... You look...Wow." He says stuttering a little. "You don't look so bad yourself Red." I pull him in for a kiss and he just turns red. As we arrive we see so many cars parked all over and the movie beginning soon. "You go get snacks and I'm gonna go see if the gang's here Red." He nods and I give him a quick kiss. I walk around to see Kevin and Veronica so I jump out to scare them and they scream. "You little bitch!" V says and Kevin just pulls me in for a hug and Veronica gives me a kiss on the cheek. "Where's Archie?" Kevin asks. "Oh I made him go get snacks so I can chat with my favourite bitches and there's another one of my favorites." I say and Jug approaches us and I give him a big hug. "Glad everyone's here but where's Betty?" Jughead asked looking around. "She texted me saying her mum is dropping her off and will be here soon." I say as we all talk for a bit and then we all head to our places as the movie begins. "Ugh candyman, I hate this movie." I say to Archie as I fed him some popcorn. "I thought you enjoyed horror movies or do you want me to protect you in case you get scared?" He says and I push him. " I will not jump into your arms like a damsel in distress, that's more you than me Red." I say and he tickles me and I start laughing really loud, people start going shush. "Well done, you got people sassying me." He laughs and pulls me in as we cuddle and watch the movie. Halfway through the movie, we were making out so much, my throat was so dry. "I'm gonna go get a refill, try not to miss me too much." I say he cups my cheeks and says "That's impossible as all I do is miss you." And then pulls me in for a long kiss that blew my socks off. As I head to go get the snacks, I see Kevin talking to a familiar face. "Joaquin?" I say and he pulls me in for a big hug. "Lila! I haven't seen you in awhile, how have you and your old man been?" He says and Kevin just looks between us with wide eyes. "Benn good, he would love to see you guys you should come visit the bakery sometime." I say and he nods and heads back to his friends who all waves at me. "Lila how..-". "-Do I know them? My dad had a life before me that's all I can say. Do you like Joaquin?" I ask Kevin and he starts blushing a little. "All I'll say is that you are eye candy and that's his type so if you want him, a makeout session is all it takes honey and don't be shy, he's done it all." I slap Kevin's ass and order a cherry cola and some candy. "Oh my God Lila, you are... the best thank you!" He gives me a kiss and heads over to Joaquin and I just smile as I am shipping them too together so much. I head back to Archie and he just pulls me in for a kiss. "You took way too long.". Tonight was perfect, but nothing really stays perfect for long. The drive-in would be gone in the morning and there would be nothing left to remember it expect all the memories that we had of that last perfect night. Maybe one day we could have it back, who knows but all I know is that I wish high school could last long enough for it to be with me for a long time. Just the good memories.
