I called Betty and Kevin to meet me behind the bleachers ASAP and I just told them what happened. "Shut the fridge! No way Thomas actually tried to kiss you after what he did," Kevin said while Betty and him were stuffing their faces with popcorn. "He obviously likes you Lila, I mean he wouldn't have kissed you for no reason," Betty says with a mouth full of popcorn. "Yeah well I sure as hell don't like nor do I care about him. I just want my Archie," I say as they both aww. Idiots but I love them to death. "We need a girls night just the three of us. Makeovers, Rom-coms and cocktails of course," Betty says as Kev and I agree. "We should do it at my house this weekend but Kev, I bet you're wondering if what Thomas said is true," I asked. "Yeah but you're my girl Lila, I'd never force you to tell me something.". Kev pulled me and B in for a hug then I basically explained to him how B and I are planning to find out the truth. "I mean we might need to have a road trip guys," I say as Kev starts to get too excited. "To LA? Yes please-". "-Woah LA? Lila, you know my mum would never let us go," Betty says interrupting Kev. "We're not going to LA, I mean we can go another time but my mum and her supposedly new man are planning to go to New York for business so why don't we show up and have some fun? Besides, doesn't your mum have some type of conference going there? We can tag along and say we're doing a story and she won't think we're up to something. Just think about it at least guys," I say as Kev is just nodding like a crazy person and B laughs but agrees. We continue talking before I head off to the art room when suddenly, I get pulled into a classroom. Of course he does this. "You know I'm your favorite person in the whole world and we sound amazing together, let's test the theory at the homecoming dance," Arch says walking towards me as I slowly walk backwards. "I thought you wanted to be independent.". "You know I love singing with you and I want the whole world or at least the whole school to see that plus my mum hasn't even heard you sing in years Lila. You know she'd love to hear you sing again, no one is a better duet than us," He said, cupping my face and leaning in to kiss me but I moved out the way. "I could name a few but I will maybe consider it. I'll do it if you give me a good song," I gave him a kiss on the cheek and left him smiling like crazy.

I was walking down the hallway and saw Mrs Cooper walk into me. "Mrs Cooper, I'm so sorry!". "Lila, please talk some sense into Betty. She will probably tell you but tell her that she knows I'm right!" She then walked off huffing and puffing. I am just... Confused. What is going on now? I then see Betty with Veronica and just looks upset. "B what is going on? I just saw your mum acting more crazy than usual and she told me to you that you know she's right," B just looked fed up and annoyed, I would be too if I had a mother that crazy. "She's trying to get me to get information on Jughead's dad and Joaquin because she saw them talking and it looked like they were conspiring. Obviously I said no because I believe Jug," B emphasises on the last sentence as she saw my face drop. I have known FP almost my whole life and I've known Joaquin for so long, they're like family. If they had any part in this...I don't know what I'd do, I think it would be the same for Jug. I look at V and she just looks like she's thinking about it more. "I can't believe she would put you in this position I mean, I wouldn't even think about it because I'm not that type of person to hurt someone," I say looking at Veronica. "But what if deep down, it's the right thing? I mean how can we really be a hundred percent sure that they're not involved," I look at B and she just looks pissed. "Are you serious right now? I thought you were my friend and as my friend you should know your place not to get involved in things that clearly have nothing to do with you. Lila let's go," Betty links arms with me and we walk to class. "You don't think she'll help my mum right L?". "Honestly, I don't know B, let's just keep an eye on her and of course focus on the dance because we need to make sure everything runs smoothly and that we look so hot, our dates drool all over the dance floor," B and I just laugh. "So you and Kev are coming to get ready at my house, then Jug and Arch will meet us and we'll have a quick bite at Pop's then head to the dance.". "Yeah that's fine he'll probably say yes just so he can end up cooking and hanging out with FP and Fred. You excited that Jug's your date?". "Yeah I just want everything t0 go well," I pull Betty in for a hug for a minute before Kevin surprises us with a big hug. "Kevin!" I screamed as he was laughing because of the heart attack we were having. "Aw you girls missed me didn't you? I was just coming to double check that we're still getting ready at yours B and that Lila is still opening for the dance.". "Of course we are and is it okay if I open with Archie? He figured it would be good for the both of us," I then look at Kev and Betty's faces. "It's nothing bad it's just...We need something that's going to make us dance like how your songs usually do. You gotta admit, Archie's songs are-". "-Really good but kinda sad," Betty says, interrupting Kev. I do see their point but I wanna give him a proper chance to show everyone what he and I can do. "Well you know that I always bring the party so it will be fine guys trust me.". "Fine, both of you can open together," Kev says then suddenly, Cheryl approaches us. "Sorry to interrupt, but I have an announcement to make. One that tangentially involves you, Betty. I'm bringing Polly to the dance as my date, and we're campaigning as co-queens of Homecoming Court," We all looked at Cheryl like she was crazy. No way Polly would agree to this crap! "Because why?". "Because, Nightmare Smurfette, by all rights, it should've been Polly and Jason on that stage being crowned. This is the next best thing. So... Don't forget to vote, and I'll see everyone at my coronation!". Cheryl then walked off and we all just looked at each other like what just happened?
