chapter 2

Klaus walked into a large house with white panels. He had gotten it built for when his family came back, a place they could live together.

Forever and Always.

Grumbling Klaus walked into the building and into the studio that connected to a kitchen.

As he painted Klaus couldn't seem to get the beautiful blonde women out of his mind.

Aimlessly he found himself painting the gorgeous woman. Her long soft curls, her cupid-bow lips, her soft button nose, and those enchanting blue eyes that captivated his own.

She captivated him. And he didn't know why.

-

Caroline sat at the bar in The Grill. Damon and Bonnie sat with her as the others had all gone to their respective homes.

Damon and Caroline have grown quite close during her time as a vampire, he said she was 'more tolerable' that way.

But she knew he meant it in a good way.

"So what was up with that weird British guy?" Bonnie asked, taking a sip of her wine.

"That was Niklaus Mikaelson. He's the one who was chasing down Katherine, I have no clue why she's here now but he's the kind of vampire that scares vampires." Damon answered, drinking his small glass cup of bourbon.

"He seemed nice to me!" Caroline somehow felt the need to defend him. She couldn't get him out of her head and she desperately wanted to get to know him.

But she couldn't. Tyler wouldn't let her.

Ever since Tyler had killed someone and triggered the wolf curse he'd been.... angry, to say the least. He was argumentative and irritable. And quite honestly sometimes miserable to be around.

Though caroline would never dump him. She couldn't! Not when he needed help with the transition.

"Everyone seems nice to you blondie" Damon's aid with an eye roll, causing caroline to playfully elbows his shoulder.

"Oh shut up." Caroline smiled as she leaned up on her forearms, taking a sip of her bourbon mixed milkshake. Bourbon had helped curb the cravings but she still hadn't gotten accustomed to the taste.

"Tomorrow's the big date auction at Mystic High school right?" Bonnie asked her

"Yea! Oh my god remember when Alaric was in it!" The three laughed at the thought.

"Yeah I'm glad this year it's girls," Damon winked at Bonnie's disgusted face.

"I'm not!." Bonnie said Caroline laughed with an amused smile

"Who knows witchy maybe I'll buy a date with you." He winked

"Ew! Don't even put the image in my mind! Bleh!" Caroline squealed

The trio laughed as hey took a sip of their drinks.
