Caroline walked into a small cafe, her eyes glued to her phone as she texted her father

DaddiO: I'll be there soon

Caroline: If not I'll order your coffee with extra cream and sugar

DaddiO: you wouldn't dare

Caroline: wouldn't I? ;)

Caroline laughed as she found a small table. She was planning to tell him later tonight about her transformation but she knew how much her father hated supernatural creatures, and that terrified her. She didn't want to lose her dad.

The bell to the cafe rung and caroline watched as Bill Forbes, her father, entered the small restaurant.

"Daddy!" Caroline exclaimed, standing up to hug him. He wrapped his arms around her in a bear hug as he whispered in her ear, "Caroline!"

They separated and sat down opposite of each other. The waitress was quickly approaching as caroline ordered a strawberry crepe and we gather ordered black coffee and eggs.

"How've you been? God, it's been like forever!" Caroline asked, her hand flying around her as she talked. Truth be told caroline was a bit nervous. It'd been almost a year since she'd seen her dad and now they were going to be together for a week.

"I've been really well, what about you sweetie?" Bill asked, eyes watching his phone as he texted away

"Oh yeah know! The normal! Tyler and I broke up after I found out he was cheating on me, we haven't talked since-"

"You dumped Tyler?" Bill interrupted, his eyes wide in shock and a bit of anger

"Dad I know you were very close with him but he cheated!" Caroline tried to reason, placing her hand on his.

"Caroline he's a boy with needs. I'm sure you could find it in your heart to give him a second chance."

Caroline sighed and nodded at him, "I can try."

After breakfast caroline went to meet up with Rebekah and April.

"Ok, so I have some news...." Carolien started, watching as their faces turned to be ones of intrigue

"Spill!" Bekah Shouted, hands in the air

"Me and Klaus are on good terms, like really good terms." Caroline smiled as April giggled and Rebekah's mouth hung open.

"I can't believe it! You tamed the big bad hybrid!" April said in awe

"I can't bloody understand what you see in him. Caroline, you have to know that the only reason he came was for Elena's blood after he got it he was supposed to leave. But he didn't, and honestly Care I think you're the reason."

Caroline blushed at this accusation and smiled, "Well I just hope I'm good enough to make him stay."

"Carebear you are more than enough! You are the most beautiful, intelligent, neat woman I have ever seen! You deserve everything and I just hope Klaus sees that!"

"Oh trust me he does! Have you seen his studio? I was in there for a second and saw about a hundred paintings of her. He definitely feels more than a fancy towards her."

Caroline smiled at her friends' supportive behavior. Maybe Klaus and she didn't have to stay a secret between them and Elena and Bonnie for long.
