Jisoo sat in her living room with a mug of tea and a book as the rain outside came down in sheets. It was a peaceful night at home in the early spring, one that gave a complete sense of calm. The woman laid down on the new red sofa with her head resting on the arm and continued with the adventure between the pages.

A sharp knock shattered the delicate peace in the house, bringing the woman out of her tranquil mood. Jisoo rolled her eyes and stood up, placing her bookmark where she left off and tossed it on the coffee table. The continuous knocks got louder as she approached the door with irritation written on her face.

When Jisoo opened the door, her jaw dropped as her stomach sank. Standing, soaked to the bone and shivering, was a thinner, tired, Lisa. "Can I come in," the woman chattered through clenched teeth.

Jisoo sat on the coffee table in front of Lisa as the shivering woman slowly warmed up. Luckily, the home-owner still had some comfy sweaters out that the younger girl was able to wear. The twenty-two-year-old woman looked awful. Her bangs had grown into her face and the blonde dye that had clung to her locks for over a year grew halfway down her hair.

"Lisa, honey, what's going on," Jisoo asked gently. The shaking woman shuttered at her old friend's voice. Her hand shot out to grab Jisoo's and brought it to her face.

Lisa's face was cold in Jisoo's hand as she nuzzled the Korean's palm. The once-blonde woman was damn-near purring at the feeling of Jisoo's skin on hers. "Can we just stay like this for a minute," Lisa asked in a small voice.

Jisoo didn't have the heart to pull away.

"So, where's Dongpyon," Jisoo asked after several minutes. Lisa stopped stroking her companion's knuckles to glance up at her with defeated eyes.

"I left him," she said. "I told him I wanted to stop partying with him, to get away from that stuff, and he got mad at me. I didn't want to be with someone who doesn't actually love me." Lisa stared deep into Jisoo's eyes as she spoke, mentally begging for the Korean to know what she meant. She didn't want to confess how Jisoo had been on her mind every waking moment since she left the apartment seven months ago.

"You mean it," Jisoo asked with a quiver in her voice.

"Will you help me get clean," Lisa finally asked.
