"Are we really doing this again," Jennie asked in a blase voice. "I don't want to go through all of this every Monday."

"Shut up," Jisoo said. "It's not every Monday." Jennie rolled her eyes as her friend of two years crossed her arms but nevertheless, followed her into their training room. Twenty-six other girls sat in the dance room, talking, stretching, and waiting for their trainer for the day. This was batch five, an elite training group that excelled at dancing. Jisoo could never be added to batch five, no matter how hard she tried.

Since she began training, she'd been bouncing between batch two and seven. Batch two, the singers, and batch seven, the actors. Jennie, her best friend from her the younger girl's brief stint in batch two, sighed as they entered the room they were not meant to be in. Jennie was a phenomenal dancer, but she wasn't quite the natural that made up batch five.

Jennie primarily stayed in batch four, the rappers. That's where she met the girl they were seeking. Lalisa. A beautiful girl from Thailand that could dance and rap like nobody's business. She and Jennie knew each other pretty well and were friends, giving Jisoo the occasional chance to see the tall, doll-like girl.

"Hi," Jisoo called happily. Lisa looked up from where she was stretching with her friend Chaeyoung against the wall and smiled.

"Hey, Jennie, Jisoo," she called back. The Thai girl stood up straight as Chaeyoung just slid to the floor with a slightly defeated look on her pretty face. Jennie went to sink down next to her so they could judge their friends in silence.

"How was your off day," Jisoo asked conversationally. Every batch got a day off once a week, usually, a day expected to be spent studying and practicing off the clock. Batch five got Sundays off and batch two got Mondays off. It fell perfectly for Jisoo since normally her first lesson began about ten minutes before Lisa's.

"It was great! Me and Miyeon spent the whole day shopping!" Jisoo's smile froze over at the mention of Lisa's girlfriend. The beautiful and talented Miyeon's relationship with Lisa the was the biggest open secret at YG. Before she began dating Lisa, Jisoo had been a good friend of Miyeon's. They met in batch two but it soured once she was moved into a different vocal batch, batch six, and crossed paths with Lisa.

"That's great," Jisoo said in a brittle voice. "How's she doing?" Chaeyoung and Jennie looked at each other with bland faces and shook their heads at each other, dying inside at the cluelessness of their friends.

"She's doing good, but she seems to be a little withdrawn lately. I'm a little worried about her."

"I'm sure she'll be okay," Jisoo tried to soothe. Not like she cared that much. No, she didn't want Miyeon to be upset or for something to be wrong, but if she wanted to break up with Lisa on good terms, that wouldn't bother Jisoo in the slightest.

"I hope so," Lisa mused.
