Super long chapter (:

My head felt as if someone had been hitting it with a hammer for an hour. Or possibly days. I groaned and tried to open my mouth to say something but nothing would come out. I figured the best thing to do was go over what happened. Okay so I was in a car crash and almost died. Then I woke up and we went to a big grocery store type thing, then I killed a bunch of walkers and there was fire. Then I ran out of the store and blacked out. I positive I hit my head on the concrete because it's never hurt this much.

"Ow," I managed to get out.

"Hey guys, she's up." I heard Carl tell however many people.

"Jade, it's Eugene and Maggie. I need you to tell us how much it hurts on a scale of one to ten."

I groaned as another wave of pain shot through me. "Nine," I spit out as fast as in could.

"Good, good, that's good," he said as he put a hand on my head in a comforting way.

"No! NO! It's a ten! Ten!" I yelled in searing pain as I shot open my eyes and attempted to sit up.

I sat up and looked around while trying to gingerly clutch my head. "I think I hit my head on the way down." My left arm lfelt a little weird too. I looked at it hoping everything was okay. I saw it almost completely banged. The burns.

"Alright you need to take it easy over the next few days," Maggie told me as she laid back down.

Hours later we had stopped at a house in the middle of nowhere.

"Oh God, never scare me like that again." Sheriff told me sharply as the two of us sat on the railing connected to the porch.

"I'm sorry, I -"

"Don't. Just don't." He jumped down and started walking on the now dead grass due to the winter.

"Carl! What the hell? Where are you going?"

"I don't know!" He shouted as he made a 180 degree turn to yell at me. Then, he turned around and kept walking.

"What's your problem? Look I'm sorrry that I risked my life back there and that I killed those walkers. I don't understand why you're mad!"

He stopped and rotated back to me. "Are you serious? After everything that's happened you don't know why in mad?!"

"Yes! I have no idea why you're mad!" He began to saunter away from me again. "Carl! Carl Grimes!"

He spun around so speedily I took a step back. He walked fast enough towards me that I almost got scared. But then I remembered this was Carl, and he'd never hurt me. He stopped suddenly when we still had a ten foot gap between us. He looked at me, up at the sky, then at me.

"Spit it out! Why are you mad?!"

"I'm mad - I'm mad because I - ugh! - I'm mad because I love you! You hear? I'm mad because you just seem to put yourself in these situations, situations where your life is literally on the line, but it's like you don't care! It's like you don't care if you die or if you leave us forever. Never see Charlotte again! Leave me forever. You keep doing it but it's not worth it! If you die then NONE OF IT was worth it! Because you mean way too much to me to die! If you die then I will literally go out of my fucking mind. And I don't care what you say now because you need to know how much you mean to me next time you try to be a hero!" He stopped yelling.

I was sure everyone was eavesdropping on us by now. I didn't care enough to stop myself from yelling back at Carl. "What?" I laughed. "You don't think I care?! Are you out of your fucking mind?! You, your dad, Michonne, Tara, Glenn and Maggie, Daryl EVERYONE, you are ALL my family and if you think for one second that I would intentionally try to leave you - you especially! - then I guess you don't know a single thing about me!
