Keisha
The hiccups were unbearable. I felt like retching. I ran to the toilet to relieve myself.
I kept on vomiting and clamped the toilet seat for support.
I grabbed the Velar car keys and escorted myself to the nearest hospital.
**
The doctor smiled and took me to a ward.
An old man with an impressive white beard smiled and motioned for me to take a seat.
"Hello," he said in a croaky voice and adjusted my seat to a reclining position.
"Hey," I said with a trembling voice.
He wore his spectacles and switched on the sonogram.
I was terrified. I didn't know I was pregnant.
He applied some liquid and moved the sonogram as he checked the small screen. He smiled every time he saw a baby playing on the screen.
"Congratulations!" He concluded and looked at me, "would you want a picture."
"I would like to abort!" I shouted, scared this time.
He was upset that many people attempt the same thing, abortion.
"Why not keep the baby?" He said concerned, "probably your boyfriend or husband might like the child."
Sadly, I dialed a number.
"Hey, can you come over?" I said over the phone, "I'm pregnant," I choked on my own words.
**
He entered the ward hurriedly.
"Don't worry," he said, "I'm there for you."
"Doc, how old is the baby?" He asked, concerned.
"Take your seats," he said as he hung his stethoscope on his neck and sat down.He cleared his throat.
"Two months," the doctor said.
I looked at him and then he looked back at me.
"I'll keep the baby," I said sadly.
This was a big mistake I was going to regret.
"Wonderful," the doctor said as he wrote a note, "give a pharmacist, you will be fine."
"Don't tell your husband, yet," he whispered in my ear.
"I won't." I said back.

ANDREW
"After you," I said to my mother-in-law.
I escorted her inside the building and many eyes were glued on us.
"Alright, get to work!" I commanded.
Everyone continued with their work and Joanna bolted to us. She wore black silk tights and a yellow tight with black heels.
I looked at her and nodded. She understood what to do next and grabbed the lady's arm.
"Give her water!" I shouted as she reached the elevator.
I stood at the counter to receive envelopes from the manager.
"Did these come today?" I raised an eyebrow.
Telephones were ringing everywhere and workers were talking to their customers.
"Yes sir, they did," the manager responded with enthusiasm.
He knew how easy it was for me to replace anyone and by the looks of things, discipline and manners is what I craved.
"Good job," I smiled and walked to the elevator.
I pressed the button. Looks like I'm going to the top floor I told myself as I saw the doors closing.
"DOORS OPENING!" the elevator blared through the small speakers.
I entered my majestic office and sat opposite Mrs. Catherine.
Awkward silence swept the room. The scribbling I initiated on paper, made the most noise.
"It's my husband," she finally blurted, staring at the floor.
I looked at her hard enough and dropped my pen. I swiveled my chair to face the safe.
I counted some money and handed it to her.
"Oh no I cannot," her thick Australian accent swept in.
"I insist," I smiled and handed it once more.
"Thank you," she smiled wearily.
"Happy to help," I smiled back, "some of it is for medical bills for the injuries that Henry...,"
I looked up and studied Joanna who clenched her jaws in anger whilst giving my mother-in-law some water.
"...Caused," my words trailed off.
"You're so kind," she said standing up.
I waved goodbye and she finally left.
"Joanna!" I called out, "what was that?" I dropped my pen on the table and gazed at her.
"I'm sorry, sir," she apologized, "it's really hard trying to take care of a mother who you know clearly is Keisha's."
"I still love...," her voice cracked.
My raised hand managed to stop her in her tracks.
I pardoned and excused her.
Back to work, I told myself.
**
"Hey baby, I'm home!" I shouted.
She approached me slowly, with a pink top and flashing hot pink panties.
"Hey babe," she smiled leaving her hair fall gracefully on her shoulders.
"I want a snuggle time," she said.
I smiled and followed her to the outside fireplace. She collapsed on the comfortable sofa and threw a cushion.
She giggled and I ran over to hit her with it.
She continued laughing and joined in the laughter.
She finally sat down. I drew her closer and let her head rest on my laps.
The fire crackled out in the open and I playfully tried to weave Keisha's hair.
She looked really beautiful, with the fire's light casting a magnificent glow on her face.
"I have to tell you something?" She finally spoke.
"Sure," I ran my fingers down her hair.
"I love you so much," she said with a chill in her voice.
"Baby," I said concerned, "are you cold?" I grabbed my jacket and enveloped her with it.
"I love you too," I smiled as I stared at the twinkling stars.
**
I walked to the kitchen shirtless to make a small snack before bathing for work.
"Morning babe," Keisha hugged me from behind.
Ah, babe," I smiled and kissed her.
She looked at me like a stranger and scoffed, with her hair tied into a neat bun.
"Since when do you wear capes," she laughed.
"Ever since I saw my hairline receding," I looked at her for a while and made a kissy face.
"Right," she laughed a little and rested her head on my broad shoulder.I squeezed more mustard and fired short glances at the beautiful lady wearing my shirt, just a shirt.
"You know I really need my shirt, like right now," I teased.
"But I have nothing underneath," she pursed her lips.
I took a bite of sandwich and hummed in pleasure.
"Gimme that," she tried to grab the sandwich.
But short as she was, I raised it a little higher.
"You have to try harder than that," I advised.
She swung harder but it was too far for her.
I laughed and kissed my muscles.
She quickly placed her warm hands in my boxers and massaged my balls. I quickly jerked at the sensation.
She smiled like a primary kid who got a whole packet of candy.
"That's not fair," I withdrew my hand from the air and gave her.
"You won," I said sadly.
She laughed and munched as she turned her back on me.
I quickly grabbed her waist and lifted her. She laughed and screamed as the sandwich fell mercilessly on the floor.
"I guess no one won," I laughed in her ear as she continued screaming.
**
"It's just been a month into our marriage and it feels like I met you yesterday," she smiled, scrubbing my back with a sponge.
I grabbed the rubber duck and threw it into the bubble bath.
"Yes, I mean I did see you yesterday," I said, with a voice full of sarcasm.
"Oh wow," she threw her hands in deliberate surrender.
I laughed heartily. She threw some water in my face, unexpectedly and squealed in excitement.
I managed to remove the water from my weary eyes and threw a handful of water at her.
Now I was the one laughing.
**
We got out of the bathroom and dressed up.
"Behave at work alright," she calmly whispered.
I stared at her warm, fuzzy brown eyes.
"She means nothing to me," I smiled, gripping her tense shoulders.
Her shoulders relaxed and she nodded in agreement. But she wasn't afraid of that, she was afraid about the truth finally coming out.
