When Trevor and Olivia left LA to come out to New York for Christmas, they both expected it to be fun. They wanted a laid back break, where they could catch up with their families since they haven't seen them in months. But instead, Olivia's heart was failing and Trevor's heart was breaking for the girl he loved so very much.

"How are you holding up?" Becky asked gently, as she came and sat beside her son. He was sitting outside of Olivia's room, while inside she was completely out of it. Her body was so weak, that she couldn't even wake up. This sudden change had her jump several spots on the transplant list, but it might still be weeks before she can get a heart.

"This isn't how I planned to spend my Christmas break." Trevor frowned. He was tired, anxious, and beyond heartbroken. He didn't know if Olivia would make it long enough to get her heart, and it pissed him off to think that he might be spending his life without her.

He was dreaming about a life with her. He wanted kids, especially little girls that looked exactly like Olivia. He wanted to grow old with her, but what if she doesn't even make it out of the hospital at only 18?

"Honey, no one would blame you if you couldn't deal with this. If you need space." Becky spoke gently.

"Mom, what type of man would I be if I abandoned the love of my life while she's dying? When she can't fight me on this?" Trevor asked weakly, as he played with a piece of thread on his ugly sweater. He was hoping Olivia would wake up, so she could tell him how absolutely ugly his sweater was. He wanted to hear her teasing and see the love in her eyes.

"Love of your life?" Becky and Serena asked in unison. Trevor looked up at the two women before nodding slowly.

"Mrs. Benson, I love your daughter more than I love myself." Trevor breathed before he stood and walked away from Olivia's room. Serena looked at Becky before gently smiling.

"I guess it's good we like each other because I feel like we are going to be in-laws," Serena said with a weak smile.

"Do you want to go get some coffee? We could talk." Becky offered, and Serena nodded.

"I could use some coffee... between Olivia and Lilah, I'm stressed out." Serena breathed.

"Have they always fought?" Becky asked, and Serena frowned and nodded.

"Lilah hates that Olivia gets more attention because she's sick..."

Trevor wandered around the hospital because he couldn't sit still. His father and siblings were at home trying to have as normal of a Christmas as possible, but it wouldn't be normal because he and his mother weren't there. Trevor went to the cafeteria but left almost as soon as he walked in because he wasn't hungry. Then he headed to the lobby and sat for a bit. He looked at the large Christmas tree that sat to the side. It was decorated with a ton of ornaments and lights, and it made the hospital seem less like a place where sick people go to die, and more of a place where there was still hope.

"Trevor?" A small voice questioned, and Trevor turned his head and saw Lilah standing beside him. She had black lines down her cheeks from where her mascara had run, and fresh tears were dripping off the tip of her nose and her chin.

"Lilah. I thought you went home..." Trevor trailed off slowly.

"My parents won't let me... is she dead?" Lilah whispered. Trevor had sat either outside of Olivia's room or inside her room since she coded, but now he was away from Olivia, and Lilah could only think about the worst.

"She's not dead, but she's not awake," Trevor grumbled.

"What I said to her-"

"Can you explain to me why you hate your sister so much? Because she loves you." Trevor sighed. Lilah slowly moved to the chair across from Trevor, before crossing her legs. She didn't know if she should trust her sister's first boyfriend, or hate him just as much as she hates her sister.

"That is none of your business, Trevor." Lilah spat.

"Being a bitch isn't going to make things better. You literally told your sister that you wanted her to die, and then she crashed. So why don't you talk about it, because if you don't... you might actually feel some guilt if your sister dies." Trevor growled.

Lilah swallowed hard before using her sleeve to wipe at the tears on her cheeks.

"My whole life... I've been told to be nice to Olivia. To not stress her out. I was supposed to be her babysitter when my parents left us alone together because she could have had a heart problem at any moment. I didn't get the same love and attention as Olivia did because I wasn't sick. No matter what I do, I'm not my parents' favorite." Lilah breathed.

"Your sister doesn't want to be sick, Lilah. She doesn't like having to go to the hospital. She told me that she doesn't know why you hate her so much for something she can't control." Trevor frowned.

Lilah stared at him with wide eyes before starting to sob. Trevor stood and helped Lilah to her feet before hugging her tightly.

"I love my sister, Trevor. I do. I love her and I wish we could be friends... but I told her that I wanted her to die and she might die because of me. I might kill my sister, and then my parents will never love me as they loved her because I killed their daughter!" Lilah sobbed. Trevor felt a hand on his shoulder, and he stepped away from Lilah as Christian took his daughter into his arms and held her close.

Trevor prayed like crazy that Olivia would wake up and that she and Lilah could make up because if she passes away before that happens Lilah will never be the same.
