By the time that Olivia had graduated from medical school, not a lot had changed. Owen had grown up before their eyes, and at three he was their entire world. Trevor had opened up his own architecture firm where he was the boss, yet he still could design as he pleased. They had finally moved into the house that Trevor had designed and built himself, but they still hadn't been able to fill it with anymore kids.
It was just the three of them, but they loved their life.
"Mama." Owen huffed as he ran into his parents' room. Trevor was still in a deep sleep on his side of the bed, but Olivia was in the bathroom.
"Owen?" Olivia struggled to question, as she stood slowly from where she had been sitting on the cold tile. She stumbled into her bedroom and found her little boy staring at her empty side of the bed.
"Mama! Where were you?!" Owen cried, as he ran to his mother and clung to her.
"Honey, I was only in the bathroom... what's wrong?" Olivia mused as she turned and eyed the bathroom. She was hoping that Owen would be easily soothed so she could run back and get sick.
"I wanted to join you and Daddy before you have to go to school." Owen yawned as he reached his arms up to Olivia. She swallowed hard before lifting her son up and taking him to her bed.
"I don't go to school anymore, love. Lay with Daddy and I'll be back soon." Olivia spoke quickly as she laid her son down.
Once her son was out of her arms, she sprinted back into the bathroom and proceeded to get sick for the tenth time that morning. She was beyond exhausted and extremely annoyed.
"Daddy." Owen whispered, as he shook his father but kept his bright blue eyes focused on his mother.
"What, bud?" Trevor yawned, as he kept his eyes closed.
"Mama is getting sick." He sighed.
"Huh?" Trevor asked, as he pushed himself up. Olivia rarely gets sick anymore, especially since she hadn't decided to stop using her medicine again.
"Mama is getting sick. Her belly must hurt." Owen frowned, as he finally looked over at his father.
"Go back to your bed, Owen. I'm going to take care of Mama."
"But-"
"Owen Gabr-"
"Okay. Okay. I'll go." Owen huffed, once he realized his father truly meant what he was saying.

Trevor sat behind Olivia and rubbed her back for hours since her body had decided to torture her. He gave her sips of water when she wanted them, and ended up running downstairs to get an ice pack to place on the back of her neck.
Around ten that morning, Olivia could finally leave the bathroom but only to curl up on her bed since she was very weak.
"Do you think you caught something at your orientation?" Trevor asked softly, as he rubbed Olivia's back as she clung to one of her pillows.
"More than likely. There is no other reason that I could think of. Especially since Owen doesn't go to school yet so he couldn't have given me anything." Olivia groaned.
"Liv?" Trevor asked, as he stopped rubbing circles onto his wife's back.
"Huh?" She yawned.
"What if this is morning sickness?" Trevor asked softly. He didn't want to excited, because in the past all of the tests came back negative. They had given up on having children biologically and were just waiting for Olivia to get used to her internship before starting to foster again.
"It's not, Trev. My medicine destroyed my reproductive organs. You know that." Olivia frowned. Olivia had caved a few years ago and got a ton of tests done. She had been on so many different medicines her whole life, that there was just a super small chance of her ever conceiving a child. Whether naturally or with medical intervention.
"Okay... I'm going to run and get you some medicine to help with whatever is happening. Take it easy. I'll make sure to bring Owen with me."
"Trevor-"
"I'm not upset, Liv. I'm honestly going to get supplies. Maybe something for Owen and me to eat. Get some sleep." Trevor smiled softly. He kissed his wife's temple softly before standing and moving to get changed.

When Trevor brought up a baby, Olivia kept telling herself that morning sickness wasn't what she was experiencing. But then her curiosity got to her. She wanted to find out if a miracle baby could be the thing causing her so many problems.
Olivia slowly slipped from the bed before going into the bathroom. She dug through a drawer before finding a box of tests that she hadn't even gotten into in awhile. She kept them, but she was sure that they were just a waste of money.
Olivia took a test before starting up the shower. She ignored her timer when it went off, and didn't look at the test while she was getting dried off and dressed.
"Here is some ginger ale." Trevor spoke, as he came into the bathroom and held out a bottle to his wife.
"Thanks." Olivia replied softly. She picked her towel up off the counter, and the pregnancy test that had been below it fell to the floor.
"What's that?" Trevor asked, as he eyed the stick on the floor.
"Nothing." Olivia replied, as she leaned down and picked up the test.
"Liv-"
"Holy fuck." Olivia swore as she blinked several times.
"Huh?" Trevor asked, as he moved beside his wife and looked at the test.
"This is positive." She breathed.
"No. That has gotta be wrong." Trevor spoke, before getting into the drawer and digging out another test. He passed it to his wife before quickly moving to open the ginger ale.
"Chug this-"
"Trevor, I will promptly throw up on you if you want me to drink that." Olivia breathed.
"Babe-"
"We had less than a one percent chance of having a baby this way. They told us that getting a surrogate or adopting were the only realistic options... Trevor, this can't be happening!" Olivia sobbed.
Trevor looped his arms around his wife's waist and pulled her close. He pressed soft kisses to her wet hair before whispering in her ear.
"No matter what happens, Olivia... everything will be okay."
