Chapter 1, The brothers...

The youngest child was running in the underground halls, trying to hide from his brother that was chasing him. A normal hug had changed from a game of hide and seek to a game of tag. 

He hid at a doorway, peaking around the corner to see his brother and surprise him for when he came around the corner. "Just what do you think you're doing young man?" the child heard and turned to face his father stepping out the room. 

The child jumped back and fell on his butt, letting out a small whimper as he hit his tailbone as well. "Owwie, sorry papa. I was playing with Hoseokie," the child said as he got up and brushed down his pants. "How's the tests this time? They work?"

"Well the rabbit isn't harmed, but it hasn't showed any signs of human behavior. We want to try for a wolf and a fox but we aren't sure if they are the safe options," his father explained and the younger nodded. 

His father saw Hoseok rounding the corner and smiled as he got close to the younger wrapping his arms around in into a tight hug. "You know how much I love you son?" his father asked patting his head. "You and your brother are the best thing that....HOSEOK I HAVE JIMIN HERE!!!"

Jimin was now trying to get out of his fathers arm to avoid being caught by his brother. But he did not succeed and was tackled by his brother, his arms being pinned down. "Got ya Jiminie, thank you father for holding him," Hoseok laughed and nuzzled his brother. "Now I'll never let you go~~~"

Jimin was trying to get off Hoseok, but couldn't as fingers were brought to his sides and he was now being tickled. People from the lab were walking past, witnessing the scene of Mr Park watching his oldest torture his youngest. 

"Hoseok please get off your brother," a women's voice came as their mother appeared. Hoseok got up and helped Jimin off the floor, his hair now looking like a mop. "I need you two to stay in your rooms tonight. Things will be a little....hepatic."

Jimin was about to say something before Hoseok threw his arm around his mouth and dragged him away. He understand a bit better of what they were doing, and didn't want to hurt Jimin's innocent mind. 

The got to their room, the 3rd biggest room in the whole place. Jimin jumped onto his bed and rummaged under his bed pulling out his tablet and putting on a dancing video. "Hoseok can we do this one today?" Jimin asked looking at his brother who sat on the end of the bed. 

"Didn't we do this last night? And what's with the name of the song. Bang Bang Bang?" Hoseok asked as Jimin was already pulling up his brother from the bed not giving him a choice. "Ahh come on, my thighs and legs are killing me."

"Please!!! Just one more time!" Jimin begged giving him sad eyes. Hoseok couldn't tell his brother no when he looked at him like that so he happily got up and watched the video to learn the steps.

A few hours later, above them in the world was dark but they never knew what the night was like. The boys flopped on the wooden floorboards, both panting and laughing as they held hands. 

"O-Ok, that's a good one," Hoseok panted making Jimin giggle. "Buttercup, go take a shower before I do. I wanna go see mother and father."

Jimin didn't argue and ran into the shower, while Hoseok took to the halls. This day was weird however, people were running around and looked like they were in a panic. He didn't like how everything was feeling off as he made the way into the main lab where his parents worked. 

Typing in the password, he walked in but got startled. A snow white fox was screeching at it's cage and trying to dig out. He noticed another cage but it had a sheet covering it. "Hoseok, what are you doing here?" he heard and turned to see his mother holding a clipboard. 

"I wanted to come see how everything is going, what's with the fox?" Hoseok asked watching the creature desperately trying to break free.

"He is our new test. Perhaps the fox has a better mind to be able to handle the chemicals and we can get our results we're looking for," his mother said and placed her hand on his shoulder. She left him alone to go to a chicken she had, leaving Hoseok to wonder what was behind the sheet. He grabbed the cover and lifted the corner, hearing the snoring of a dog. 

Lifting it fully, he was met with a beautiful black wolf asleep. He thought they were meant to be scary creatures. But he was mesmerized by it. A clang noise echoed the room, the fox banging on the cage and woke up the wolf. 

Hoseok backed away as the creature stood up and stared at him. It didn't show any aggression, it kept eye contact with Hoseok as the human child stepped forward to the creature. He raised up his hand to the creature and touched one of the bars. The wolf tilted it's head to the hand, but moved it's head forward to his hand.

"Hoseok move your fucking hand right now!!!" his father screamed and moved his son away from the creature. "Don't you ever go near that thing again, it could've bitten off your hand!!!"

"B-But father he wasn't going to!" Hoseok yelled at the brink of tears. He wasn't used to his father yelled at him, and the harsh grip on his wrist was hurting. 

"Go back to your room right now, and don't you dare mention a thing to Jimin. Do you understand," his father said and let go of Hoseok's now red wrist. He moved the child out the room and locked it, Hoseok holding his wrist with his other hand.

That fox, looked like it was in pain. And the wolf looked confused but calm. He was told that the experiments didn't hurt the animals, but the cries the fox was letting out were almost bloodcurdling. 

Hoseok made the plan to go back to the lab when his parents go for a break. He returned to his shared room with Jimin and saw the younger hugging a pillow while crying at a movie. "W-Why would she leave him in the wood? P-Poor Todd..." Jimin mumbled while wiping away his tears. "Why Hoseok? Why would she abandon someone she loves? Even though there are an animal."

Hoseok took a seat looking at the movie, the red fox on screen reminded him of the white crying fox.

"Sometimes Jimin," Hoseok said thinking about his words. "When you love someone and want to protect them. You have to let them go." 

Hoseok ended up joining Jimin in watching the film, feeling sorrow for the two once best friends walk their different paths. At this point of the night, his parents were on break and Jimin had fell asleep cuddled up to his arm.

He managed to wriggle out of his grip and made his way to the lab. Not a lot of people were roaming the halls anymore and he had the freedom to run without being questioned. 

He punched in the password and entered closing the door behind him. One cry from the fox and he turned, the fox was now not crying out and looking at him. But to this creature, he didn't feel any sort of a connection to it. He wondered over to the wolf and moved the sheet, the wolf seeing who it was. 

It got up and moved over to the edge and moved his nose to the outside sniffing. Hoseok put his hand near the creature, which growled at him at first. "I'm not gonna hurt you," Hoseok mumbled and the creature hid it's fangs. Once again, he put his hand on one of the bars and the wolf put it's mouth to it, sniffing it and ended up licking his hands.

Hoseok had to stop himself from screaming in glee, he had his full hand in the cage petting the beautiful creature in front of him. 

'Help me....'

Hoseok looked around the room, he was sure he heard a voice but no one was in the room. He felt a slight bite to his hand making him turn to see the wolf had gently nibbled his hand to get it's attention.

'Park Hoseok....help....' 

I swear I'm a sucker for the main ship I'm doing in this story, wonder if ya'll can guess. But this is my first time in trying this, and I wanted to try and make it different from all the others I have read.
