Chapter 2, A bond with the fox...

*No one's POV*

2 days have past since Hoseok and his experience with the wolf. Since then he would wait until late at night and visit the black beauty. It was weird for him, speaking to a dog. But he learned it was suffering, not just it but multiple animals. It wasn't in their lab though, it was elsewhere. A different lab was undergoing the same experiments, but was not for good.

This wolf, got separated from his pack.

The 3rd night Hoseok was getting ready to visit his new friend, that is until he tripped over a car and he slid across the room smacking into a wall. He hit the floor with a harsh thud and rubbed his arm, looking back and seeing his brother now awake. "Hoseokie? Where are you going?" Jimin asked and rubbed his eyes.

"Um, j-just go back to sleep Jimin," Hoseok said as he got up. "I'm just....going for a walk."

"Oo let me come!" Jimin said and jumped out of bed putting on his slippers. 

Hoseok tried to usher the younger back to his bed but Jimin was having none of it, claiming he was wide awake now and didn't want to be left on his own. The two took to the halls, Jimin holding the back of Hoseok's shirt as they walked and weaved in and out away from any staff member.

His mind was running, how was he supposed to tell his brother he sneaks out to speak to a black wolf? Hoseok didn't think of anything by the time they got to the door. "Ok, Jiminie, I have a secret in here ok? You can't tell mother or father."

"What? Why, is it bad?" Jimin asked tilting his head. Hoseok didn't say anything, but he opened the door and hurried his brother in closing the door behind. 

A slight growl from under the sheet made Jimin back into a wall, scared of what it was. Hoseok stepped forward and removed the sheet, Jimin being amazed by the graceful creature in front of him.

"Wolfe, this is my little brother I spoke to you about. Come here Jimin," Hoseok said sticking his hand out to Jimin. The little one was nervous, but held his brothers hand. With the little hand in his, he put them both through the cage and Jimin watched as the wolf came closer. "Trust him, he's nice. He likes me and he'll like you."

Jimin's hand was shaking, but the wolf made a cry as it closed it's eyes and put it's nose on the boys hands. With a huge smile, Jimin got out of Hoseok's hand and petted the creature, the wolf's tail going from side to side. Hoseok joined in, the wolf loving this and tried to speak to Jimin the way it speaks with Hoseok.

'Can he not hear me?"

"Hey Jiminie, did you hear that?" Hoseok asked and the wolf opened it's eyes.

"No? Hear what?" Jimin asked and the wolf's ears went down.

A cry behind them made Jimin take his hands out and looked at the direction. The white fox had woken up, and was watching the scene in front. The blond wondered over and crouched down, the fox getting closer to the edge and putting it's mouth outside the cage. 

Jimin didn't know what got into him, but his hand reached out as the fox moved up. When his hand touched, the fox made a squeal as it tilted it's head into Jimin's hand. 

'Park Jimin?'

Jimin looked around, Hoseok was talking to the wolf and no one else was in the room with them. 

"Hoseok, did you hear that just then?" Jimin asked gaining the attention of his brother. 

"No," Hoseok said but smiled seeing the fox just staring at his little brother. "Buuuuuut maybe you should try and speak to that little fluff ball."

Jimin turned back to the fox who was now sitting down and wagging it's tail.

"U-Um ok....M-Mr Fox, did you speak to me?" Jimin asked as he brother snickered on how unsure he sounded. The fox nodded it's head as Jimin rocked back and fourth on the balls of his feet. "So you understand me!?!"

The fox nodded again and Jimin was getting giddy, getting into a conversation with the fox which was similar to the first conversation Hoseok had with the wolf.

The boys had fun with the creatures, Jimin getting face licks while some of the black fur was coming off the wolf as Hoseok gave it a belly rub. The wolf suddenly got up, putting it's nose in the air and turning to Hoseok.

'Someone's coming, hide quickly.'

Hoseok didn't time to either inform Jimin or cover his friend up as he grabbed the younger and dived behind a desk putting a hand over Jimin's mouth. Sure enough, the door opened and two pairs of footsteps wondered in. 

"Tests are negative, we're falling behind," a women's voice said. Their mother. "Maybe we need to inject it with what the others gave us." 

"It could kill it though, and we have never hurt our animals," another manly voice said. Their father. "Also isn't there some way we can alter the things we've been doing. 

Someone must of leaned on the desk they were under, because it shifted forward and hit the boys. A sharp edge stuck out and into Hoseok's arm. He let out a small whimper and covered his mouth as Jimin looked back in worry. 

The two adults looked at each other from the sound, and the male started to head to the front of the desk. The wolf noticed this, and was worried for his human and the little one.

'Hoseok, run when you hear me growl.'

The older didn't have time before his friend had started to growl and was rattling around in his cage. The fox started to act up as well, not wanting the boys to get into bother. The adults scrambled to the cages to settle the animals down. 

Hoseok grabbed his younger brother's hand as he peaked over. Both of their attention was away from the door, so he crawled with Jimin and escaped the room. They got up and took off down the halls and back to their room out of breath.

"W-We cant ever tell them a-alright?" Hoseok breathed out and looked at his brother who collapsed on the bed. "J-Jimin? You hear me?"

"I wanna go back tomorrow," Jimin breathed out and flipped up to see Hoseok. He was smiling widely as he was trying to catch his breath. Hoseok smiled at the younger as he nodded his head and Jimin started to laugh out of no where. "Speaking to a fox and wolf. Man no one would believe us! I wonder what's next."

Oh Jimin, if only you knew what was going to happen to you. But Hoseok will be there to help along the way like a good older brother.
