Austin, Madison, and Jordan walked into the hockey rink and were hit with the blast of cold. It was finally September. Before they knew it, October would come, and hockey season would start. Madison was constantly asking Jordan questions about hockey. She had been coming with Jordan and Austin when they practiced and had a lot of questions about how it worked. Jordan was always happy to explain things to her. Madison always came and would skate along the edge of the rink as well. She was getting better at skating, but still had some issues sometimes.

"Alright I'm gonna go put on my gear," Austin said heading towards the locker room. Jordan was already ready so her and Madison headed for the ice. Madison stepped onto the ice with ease, but stayed close to wall.

"Come to the goal with me," Jordan said. Madison stepped away from the wall. Jordan threw a puck onto the ice and pushed it along to the goal. Jordan turned around and held out her stick to Madison.

"You think you can score a goal on me?" Jordan asked smiling.

Madison gave a look of precaution, "Probably not."

Jordan laughed, "Aw cmon, give it a go!"

Madison sighed and grabbed the hockey stick reluctantly. Jordan smiled and headed over towards the goal and got down on her knees. Madison lined herself up with the goal. She slowly lifted up the hockey stick and swung it at full force. As she swung, she slipped on the ice and fell straight on her face. Jordan immediately dashed forward on the ice and lifted the girl up. Her chin was bleeding.

"I think you caught your chin on divot in the ice," Jordan said, inspecting the wound.

Madison stared up into Jordan's eyes not even caring that her chin was bleeding. She was too focused on looking into Jordan's eyes as she focused on the wound. Jordan didn't even seem to notice that Madison was staring at her.

Jordan finally looked up noticing the staring. "We should probably get you to the first aid office," she said looking into Madison's deep, brown eyes.

Madison said nothing and kept staring at Jordan. Jordan lifted up her hand and brushed Madison's long, flowing hair out of her face. Jordan's eyes flicked down to the girl's lips and back up to her eyes. It would be stupid to kiss her, right? Then Madison looked down at Jordan's lips and back up. Jordan knew exactly what that meant. Jordan slowly started to lean in, but Austin's voice came from the entrance in the rink.

"Is she okay?" Austin shouted.

Jordan sighed frustrated and looked up, "Yea she's just got a spot on her chin!"

Austin skated over and looked down at the blood on Jordan's gear, "You're just sitting here while she bleeds out? Let's get her to the first aid office."

Jordan helped Madison stand up and they started skating towards the entrance. There was an awkward silence between the group. Austin noticed the silence. Great, he thought to himself, I must've interrupted something important. They got to the first aid room and Madison sat down.

"Um, I just remembered I forgot something, I'll be back," Austin said. It was a complete lie, but he thought the two needed to be alone. He went back out by the rink, took a seat, and got out his phone. He was prepared to be gone as long as it took.

Jordan turned around and grabbed a towel and got it wet. She grabbed a bandage and walked over to Madison. She gently grabbed her chin and turned her head upward and began patting the wet towel. Madison winced as the water went into the cut.

"I'm sorry!" Jordan said pulling away, "Does it hurt bad?"

"It just stung a little," Madison said looking at Jordan. "I'm fine though."
