Jordan sat on the bench with her teammates waiting for her first game of the season to start. Austin walked up to her and slapped her on the back,

"You ready bro?" He asked smiling.

"Ready as I'll ever be," Jordan said back. She looked at the crowd in front of her nervously. She hadn't seen Madison yet. "Is Kayla coming?"

"Yea, she said her and Madison were going to meet up and come. Everyone else was busy with stuff."

Jordan leaned against the wall behind her.

"She's gonna be here you know," Austin said, feeling the girl's nerves.

Jordan looked at him, "What if the game sucks? Her first game and we lose."

Austin laughs, "With you on the goal that won't happen."

The time till the game started kept ticking down, and still Jordan didn't see Kayla and Madison. Kayla had a general location she always sat at which was from where Austin and Jordan's team sat. She liked to make faces at Austin when he wasn't on the ice.

A few minutes before Jordan had to go onto the ice she saw Kayla sit down. Kayla waved to Austin and blew a kiss. Madison wasn't with her. Jordan's heart sank and she looked to Austin. He was busy mouthing words to Kayla. They liked to try and read each other's lips.

Suddenly a voice came from behind Jordan, "Jordan!"

Jordan turned around and was met with Madison's smiling face.

"Sorry I'm late! I got caught up doing my makeup!"

Jordan walked over to the wall where Madison was standing and looked up at her, "You know you don't need makeup, right?"

Madison smiled. "I look better with it trust me," Madison gave a wink.

"Jordan! You ready?" Coach called from behind her.

Jordan looked over her shoulder then back to Madison. Madison held out her hand and Jordan grabbed, "Good luck!"

Jordan grabbed the girl's hand quickly then let go and turned around, putting her gear on, and head out on the ice.

After winning the game Jordan went into the girl's locker room to change her clothes. She was used to getting changed alone. Jordan had just put on a regular shirt when she heard the door open. She looked behind her and saw Madison walking in.

Jordan broke out in a smile, "Who let you in?"

Madison smiled and walked over, "Austin did."

"Did you enjoy it?" Jordan asked, folding up some gear and putting it into her locker.

"Yea! It was great! You did amazing!" Madison said leaning against a locker.

Jordan turned around and leaned against the locker behind her.

"What are you thinking about?" Madison asked.

"Oh, nothing," Jordan said.

Madison frowned, "You know I don't accept that as an answer."

Jordan smiled, "Just thinking about something that will never happen."

Madison got confused, "And what would that something be?"

Jordan stared at the girl wondering if she should say anything. She was quiet for awhile.

"The week before our sleepover you said you were thinking about something someone had said to you," Madison said, changing the subject. "You told me you'd tell me."
