Unexpected (Neji x Oc)

Chapter 22: More Training

Kyla Pov:

Neji and I stood at the large wooden gate hand in hand, we weren't the only ones there either, there was the nine rookies, who graduated a few months ago, I hear some of them are extraordinary in their fields, Sakura for chakra control, Shikamaru for intellect, Choji and Shino have excellent skills in their clans speciality, even if choji doubts it, Kiba and his dog are the perfect pair, each of these ninja are going to be great one day, and that brings me to the one in the brightest outfit I've ever, he stood with his back to us, his golden locks flying in the air with the end of his forehead protector strings, that boy, the nine tails fox, to put it simply, he's useless.

His chakra control is in shambles, his taijutsu is weak and holds no co-ordination, he doesn't know any genjutsu, and his outfit... IT'S ORANGE! What ninja wears neon orange for goodness sake? Like are you trying to be seen? But, dispute his many flaws, that kid, Naruto Uzumaki, he's going to be the greatest ninja to walk this earth one day.

We watched as the future hokages body retreated into the distance with the Legendary toad sage, two and a half year until I'll see that boy again, I didn't really know him, just saw him in passing and he just see's me as the villain who once knocked Sasuke out, speaking of my brother, after joining Orochimaru he's been completely off the radar, dead or alive? Who knows, I just hope the duck is okay.

"What now...?" The candy floss haired girl said with tears rolling down her cheeks, I studied her for a moment, that girl lost her team over the past few weeks, and she didn't have the strength to fix it, but next time she will. "Sakura, join my team, or more accurately, become my partner, I don't have a team either, so lets make the best of this situation, however I wont be able to assist you in the chunin exams, I've been promoted to jonin" I said smiling at her lightly ad she nodded, wiping away her trickling tears.

"Neji, we have to meet Lady Tsunade for a mission in two hours" Tenten said her eyes travelling to our hands before shooting back up to his eyes. He nodded before turning towards me and saying "lets go and get some lunch" I nodded taking one last look at the road the nine tails travelled before walking with Neji towards the ramen shop, he said a while back that this was the first place we should go when Naruto leaves, he said something about it being the first time we can eat in this restaurant in quiet.

We ate our own meals, mine being a small pork miso ramen, while his was a medium beef, as we ate we spoke about everything and nothing all at the same time, it was fun and enjoyable, and he was right, its much more peaceful eating here without Nine ordering millions of bowls from the other side, however, I'm not sure if that's meant to be preferable or not.

Neji soon left to go and get his mission while I decided I'd meet up with cherry blossoms. "Why did you choose me to be your partner? You're so much stronger than me" She mindlessly said as we both looked to the sky, light fluffy clouds painted there in order to hide sections of the sky that we weren't ready to see yet. "Sakura, you're currently training under Lady Tsunade and I have no doubt you will surpass her in strength as well as medical ninjutsu, you have a kind and strong soul, maybe you don't see your current strength, but I do, I chose you because you're you" I said and I felt I could see her smile, even though I couldn't quite see her face. 

Both of my bothers betrayed this village, Itachi slaughtered my entire clan and became rogue, Sasuke broke this girls heart and betrayed everybody he knows in order to gain power, with two rouge Uchiha's it makes everybody a little on edge about what the thirds going to do, I want to protect this village and everybody inside of it, I want to be the good Uchiha, the one that builds up what the others destroyed. I looked over the village from where Sakura and I sat on top of the Hokage's mountain, wind battering me in the face, the village was beautiful in a messy way, there is no order to how the buildings have been placed, they simply just have been, but in the corner, the sight changed quite a bit, the Uchiha compound those buildings had been placed with intention, from the ground you may not see it but from up here, you can see the colours of the roofs, red, white and green, the red and white make the Uchiha fan, but the green, is everything that surrounds it before it gradually turns into trees.

The Uchiha compound is going through a make over at the moment, I've had people go in and clean all the blood or if need be, as its been several years, replace the things covered in blood, they're to clean out fridges and cupboards, as there's no chance something mouldy isn't in there, all parts of the buildings that need replacing will be replaced, as well as the furniture in every house, I'm rebuilding what was broken, all of the Uchiha fortune falls to me, from every single Uchiha member, as I'm the only living loyal member, I'm also the head of the clan, I have a meeting with several clan heads coming up that will allow me to make arrangements for allays and support. The first one I have is with the Hyuga's, that can either go well or terribly, they used to be allied with us but they may not be interested now the massacre has taken place, maybe they'll accept my cause just cause I'm dating their prodigy, that could be a best case scenario.

Sakura and I had headed up to lady Tsunade to make this partnership official.

"Ah Kyla, great to see you I was just about to call for you, we have a mission that urgently needs your attention" I smiled at her and nodded before saying "I've chosen who I want as my permanent partner" Tsunade looked up from her paperwork, shocked for a moment, probably because last time we had this conversation, I requested to work alone. "The Hyuga genin?" she questioned knowing I took my last mission with Neji, I shook my head no before saying "I request Sakura Haruno to be my partner" Lady Tsunade raised her eyebrow at me, this being a partner who she thought id never choose, but none the less, the paperwork was handed to the two of us and we both graced the paper with our names, before Tsunade made the final signature as the seal of approval, and like that, it was official.
