I went home that night with two things on my mind. 1) Luke 2) I can't believe I said I was a reject. Am I stupid? I just told a cute guy that I was a reject. Can I be any stupider?

I walked into English, surprisingly excited. Of course for the wrong reasons.
"Hey reject." Luke said, not looking up from his blank state at the desk he was in. But I swear I could see a slight smirk creeping into the corners of his mouth.
"Hi Lukey." I replied cheekily finally getting that full smile to appear on his face.
He looked over to me, his face spelled out wonder all over. "Can I help you?" I giggled.
"Reject? What is a reject?" he asked.
I laughed,"A reject? A rebel is somebody who has a choice, they decide to go against society's expectations. A reject is somebody who was pushed out, they don't have a choice. They are rejected by society because they don't meet society's expectations."
"So is it good or bad to be a reject?"
"Well, it depends on how you look at it. Some see it as bad because a reject was pushed out because they are different. I see it as good because I don't want to have to meet society's expectations. Let me be different, different is dangerous." I winked.
"Oh! I see, so you're dangerous now?" Luke and I laughed.
"I can be..." we laughed harder.
Before we were done laughing, a voice called out a name that caught Luke's attention. "Mr. Hemmings and no name. Would you stop wasting my time and work? Or you can go out into the hall, your choice. You don't have to be here, if you don't want to work in this class drop it. The class is full enough." Mr. Shreiner said harshly. Luke and I both quite laughing and turned our attention to the teacher who continued teaching about short stories.
"I'll meet you by the stairs where you were yesterday for lunch." Luke whispered.
"You got it Mr. Hemmings." I replied with a quiet laugh, using the his new name he was given from our teacher. Luke smiled and began writing down notes. Something that I should also start doing. I already wish it was lunch time...
