They sat in a sitting room, near a fireplace. Emma sat the closest by it, allowing the warmth radiating from the fire to comfort her in some way. After everything tonight, despite having people around her, she still felt very alone.

She felt something drape around her shoulders and as she looked back, she saw Seth behind her, placing a blanket on her. She smiled, softly, and held it around herself.

"So, are you going to explain to me what is going on?" Ivory asked as she tended to Garrett's injury.

The vampires exchanged looks.

"There's a lot to it, so this could take a bit of time." Garrett replied. And with that, he began to explain everything that they knew. From the night the spawn attacked, to meeting Seth, the information he gave to them about Redshadow and Chasm, about the Sanguine and spawn were in the human world, and Emma's sacrifice for the sake of protecting her loved ones and herself.

Ivory listened intently and carefully to every word, until she looked to Seth.

"I was wondering why your presence had a different feeling. You're not a Sanguine or a spawn. So, Garrett, you've taken on another vampire with no place. You're becoming quite the caretaker." She said, smoothly.

"Yes, well, we couldn't exactly just abandon him. And it's a good thing we didn't, otherwise this Redshadow would have his successful vampire back." Garrett replied.

"Hm, is that so?" Ivory glanced to Emma, before smiling softly and she continued to clean Garrett's injury, "So, you've broken the mirrors and you're here. Why not return to your own mansion and just lay low there? Surely you're not wanting to stay here."

"No. I was wondering if we could go stay at Rogue's for a time."

"I thought you were trying to stay out of the human realm. Now, you wish to go back?"

"I figured Rogue would be a good person to be with. He's had a fair share of times hiding, maybe he could shelter us until we know what our next course of action is."

"Your logic makes sense, however, I hope you understand that as long as you have Seth, the Sanguine will not stop hunting you until they have what they want."

"I am aware."

Ivory looked to Emma, who was staring at the fire. She didn't shed tears, but her eyes were enough to express the sorrow behind the blank expression she held.

"Emma?" Ivory called out, gently.

Emma turned her head toward Ivory.

"I am truly sorry about everything you have had to deal with tonight. Though, no amount of apology will be enough to take away the pain."

"I'd rather it be like this instead of putting them in danger and risk losing them to death. I'll be okay."

"You've made some great sacrifices for the vampire society. Very few people in general would be so willing to change for the sake of others. Though, I know you did so for other reasons, but your choice will affect everyone and not just those dear to you here."

Emma glanced around, looking between Asher, Cole, Seth, and Garrett, before she turned her head away.

"It has been a long time since anyone has gotten in contact with Rogue, but I imagine he won't refuse you, Garrett. And if he should, well...let's just say he won't."

Around that point, she finished tending to Garrett's injury and he proceeded to put on a new shirt.

"I'll go mend your coat. I'll be right back." Ivory said as she picked up Garrett's coat and then left the room.
