"Come on leo!" You exclaim dragging your boyfriend of 3 years up the stairs to the roof of the big house.
" what's so important?" He asks nervously
"The constellations are incredible you can see zoe nightshades and hundreds more! Look look look! That's the constellation of Aphrodite" you rant on about them for half an hour
"Y/n?" Asks leo, something was wrong his hands were still and he wasn't fidgeting the colour drained from his face
"What's wrong" you take his hands and hold them tight, he pushes them away
"I need to tell you something it could go two ways I'm scared how you'll react" he says
"Try me fire boy " you challenge
" everyone knows demigods don't live happy lives or grow old it's almost impossible, iv said I love you more times than I can count and iv even swore on my life I love you but..." his voice trailed off
"Leo?" You ask holding back tears
"Well" he says getting down on one knee "I want to make a promise strong than anyother, I want us to be happy together, I want to be the person that loves you unconditionally, so I want to know will you marry me?"
You let all the tears you were holding back fall freely down your cheeks as you look at the ring he's holding it's the same ring you've always Wanted
"Leo freaking valdez you almost gave me a heart attack!" You joke
"If you say yes I can call you y/n freaking valdez... So is that a yes or a n-" you cut leo off by kissing him
" yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes!!!"
So maybe most demigods never lived happy lives or lived to get old but you never followed the trend anyway ... As hazel once said I build my own path. Except now you and leo could build a life together
