Yerin's POV

I know I am still sane of some sort, but there's just really a certain region in my brain that neglects to function well. The severity of the said backfire was disheveling the processes of my senses to practically make sound decisions, thus the impulsive demeanor that I'm obliviously showcasing everyone.

And without any further thought whatsoever, I approached Dr. Choi who seemed to just came back from a briefing.

"Yes, Dr. Jung?" she asked softly as she shifted her view to me.

Okay, this is the part where all my dumbness go forth bursting in.

This was sudden.

She was sudden.

I am sudden.

The words were all rumbling in my throat but ignored to actually leave off my freaking mouth.

Why did I call out for her again? I'm pretty sure I have something to ask her. Damn. I better say something now before she suspects me for being a weirdo.

"Ahmm.."

"Is it about Dr. Hwang?" her eyebrows quirked along as her orbs bounced in with content, "Hmm?"

Wow. Bullseye.

"I ahm.. yeah. I-it's about h-her.."

"What about her?"

Could I ask everything?

Where should I even start?

I gulped a few couple times before having the sound mind to throw a question, "I... I'm just wondering, Dr. H-hwang is always at her office, does she really stay here at the hospital for days? I mean, doesn't she have f-family that might be waiting for her.. like Akane?"

Shoot.

That slipped out my mouth. Akane and Eunbi's relationship has been boggling me since then, I cannot help but just keep on feeding myself evidences about their connection towards each other whenever I am given a chance.

"Ah, so you already met Akane, Eunbi's child. It's been also quite a while since I saw her." she said, seemingly happy recalling a what I guess is a memory together with the kid, "And about her work. I think everyone's  told that the hospital's been up to developing this sort of drug, and she's mostly doing all the work together with the pharmaceutical team. So yeah, that explains that."

Wait, everyone? But it was the first time I heard about this. Yes, I'm aware about the pharmaceutical facilities of the hospital but I didn't know that it's been going on processes. Also how important is that drug for Dr. Hwang to fully involve herself onto it?

"May I just ask about additional information about the drug that they're developing?"

She almost snapped her neck at the mention of my question. Dr. Choi gripped on her clipboard even tightly before heaving a sigh and deciding to answer back, "I'm sorry. But that is something I cannot elaborate any further."
