(Y/n)'s POV
Afternoon. It's been almost half an hour to go to the said village.
Winter just passed. The Sun is shining brightly with it's sunshine kissing my skin. The Sun's temperature will kill a normal human. But, I'm not a normal human. I decreased my body temperature making me body cold as dead. Yet, I'm not dead.
Odd? Yeah. Making the girl getting close to me. Although it feels very weird since now she's older but then, I'm higher than her.
"Ne, ne! We haven't introduce you our names yet!" The girl piped up. I turned my head down to the side to look at her.
'Congrats. You have my attention the heck you wa-'
"My name's Makomo, I'm 11 years old, almost 12 in a few weeks. The guy with pink hair is my brother, Sabito-chan! He's 13 same as Giyu-chan is!" The girl, Makomo said pointing to the boys.
Sabito turned around and waved at me as Tomioka stayed still. I eyed the ignorant boy. "Yeah... Heard his name.." I muttered.
"So, may we know your name? We would like you to know you better since your our new little sister." Sabito said calmly as he gave me a closed eye smile. Something about his smile made my heart flutter a bit. I quickly turned my head to hide my embarrassment but kept a soft tone.
"My name is Ryūsei (Y/n), currently 10 years old. My favourite food is mochi and Katsudon. My dream is to continue my family's legacy and be the strongest Demon Slayer in history." I said, determined as I held my chin high.
'Don't be afraid to tell other's your a Ryūsei.' My fathers voice echoed in my head.
Sabito's eyes opened and looked at me with slight shock. "So your the daughter from the Dragon Demon Slaying Clan?" He asked as he watched me in awe. Tomioka only looked back for a second.
"Yes, but my ancestors call it 'The Ryūsei Clan' for short," I said with a smile.
"Where's your parents?" Tomioka asked, bluntly. My face immediately darkened. Sabito-sama noticed and lightly slapped Tomioka's back.
"Giyu, you should know that the parents topic is a sensitive topic to every one of us." He scolded the kuudere boy. Then, awkward silence came.
I cleared my throat as I broke it. "Why isn't that old man coming with us?" I asked, averting everyone's gaze cuz I feel like it.
"Oh you mean Sensei? He doesn't! He usually stays at home, we have been doing this for a while now!" Sabito-sama explained. I nodded.
After a few moments, we arrived at a clothes store since Sabito-sama's clothes were currently small for him. As the trip went inside, I waited outside. I didn't need to buy 'em. I already have some of my sister's so I guess I did something smart for once.
I leaned on the wall beside the doorway. My head was directed at the sky as my eyes were closed. The atmosphere was calming. Kids playing around the empty space, some chit-chats from the passers, and the birds chirping.
Even though there are a lot of people around me, I still felt as if I'm the only person on Earth. It was always like this..
From where I was born, I never really gone outside, especially when there's a lot of people. Something inside me just felt uncomfortable. So I intend to avoid any physical contact. And that leaves me with my thoughts.
"Nee-chan! Nee-chan!"
"Yes?" I said as I opened my eyes.
But then realized it wasn't Shota, just a random kid calling out to his sister. I sighed and squated down, leaning on the wall. I glared at the ground as if it pissed me off. I felt a scent of strawberry nearing me.
"Hey, having a hard time there?" Sabito asked, crouching beside me. I didn't reply as I placed my arms on my knees. I buried my head in my arms, silently praying for my family make it to Heaven.
