Third Person POV

At the whole way to the said town, (Y/n) was leaded by her bird companion, (B/n). Since she's the only one who knew the place. And yes, on the way there, (Y/n) learned that (B/n) is a girl. Not a boy.

"So you're saying the most common place is the play ground?" (Y/n) asked.

Her bird nodded. "Adult's there even said it's the playground was haunted by a mother who lost their child there. To the children, it seemed really shiny and brand new. There wasn't any dust on the swings, slides, and monkey bars. The weird part is that nobody except for the children wanted to go near the playground." She explained, also confused.

I nodded. "That really is weird...." I muttered. Axel then arfed is response.

Translation: "Could it be a demon mother and not a ghost?"

I pondered at Axel's words. "(B/n), how long till we reach this town?" I asked.

"Don't worry (Y/n)! The town is just a few miles away!" (B/n) chirped. I nodded. As I kept walking I could see the figure of the town.

I immediately sprinted to it with Axel following behind me. "Good luck on your first mission, (Y/n)!" My bird said, flocking away. I nodded in response.

As I arrived at the town, it had very less people. The sun is shining brightly. I look around to maybe grab some intel about missing children.

That's when I came across a couple maybe in their late 20's holding missing child posters and placing it at a pole.

Hikori Anika & Hikori Asahi

Information:
Anika, 7 years old girl, short blackish hair, piercing blue eyes.

Asahi, 9 year old boy, short dark brown hair, ocean blue eyes.

My wolf barked. Translation: "Let's ask them!"

I nodded and walked towards the couple. I tapped on the woman's shoulder who flinched but turned to me. The man also turned around with her.

"Y-Yes?" She nervously asked.

I took my chance and took a quick look at their features. By seeing the ring on their finger, I'm guessing they're already married. The wife had light brown hair while her husband had black hair. She had violet eyes and he had blue eyes. The two of them had eye bags under their eyes.

I coughed into my hand. "I'm sorry to disturb you but may I ask some questions about your missing children? Me and my partner are here to help." I said, gesturing Axel.

When I asked that, the wife's eyes were filled with tears as her husband patted her back.

"Yes, please. Please!" The wife said wiping away her tears. The couple invited me into their house for better atmosphere they said.

I sat down at the tatami as I drank the provided tea. I have to or else I'll seen rude. Even better I brought Axel in.

"Are you really sure you're not bothered with him in here?" I asked.

I'm asking this since there were some encounters of letting a furred animal into someone's house is rude.
