Third Person's POV
"W-What are you talking about.." The (h/c) girl quivered in fear, her knees shaking as Urokodaki-sama held her from falling.
Giyu's eyes never met hers as he only looked at the ground in disappointment. Then, he bowed unslightly. "I-I." His voice cracked a bit.
"..."
"I'm sorry." Giyu finally said, extending out the haori whom belonged to the now, deceased Sabito. Along with Makomo's mask.
"This... This wasn't supposed to happen..." The girl burst into tears as she shook her head in disbelief. She sulked.
In the morning, the girl and Urokodaki was planning to surprise them with a huge feast. They would talk about the whole Final Selection. What kind of Demons they slayed, how they felt, how they passed, how they are still alive... Eating lunch with them, happily! But... It ended the opposite way...
"I was an idiot... I didn't save him... I didn't-" Giyu's sentence was caught off by a hug from the girl whom was crying. Her tears didn't hesitate to fall.
"I-It's o-k-ay... I u-n-der-stand... D-on't g-guilt t-rip y-yo-yourself... S-S-Sabito a-nd M-akomo w-ouldn't want t-that..." Her voice cracked so softly her yet so heartbreakingly.
All of them knew (Y/n). They know what her personalities are, they know what her specialties are, they know what her flaws are, they know what her strengths are, they know what her weakness are. Basically, they knew everything about her. They could read her like an open book anyday, anytime. That means they knew what she's going through right now.
In all honesty, they know this is what happen to her. She knows what Giyu feels, mentally and emotionally. Cause that's what happened to her.
To her, she felt it all during the traumatic event that had happened to her. Standing there. Watching... Hearing the whole scene in front of you. Standing there. You know what you need to do. Yet.You.Did.Nothing.
To Giyu. You weren't there yet you heard it. You knew it was gonna happen. Your gut had been telling you over and over and OVER again. Yet.You.Did.Nothing.
That's what they have in common.
They did nothing.
They did nothing to stop it.
Nothing to save them.
Nothing to save they once called family.
Now....
The once happy family is gone in the blink of an eye.
The both of them knew, their guilts for someone's death would never disappear. The guilt will always remain in their hearts for eternity.
(Y/n) let out a soft sob as she parted the hug. Urokodaki knew to let his children some alone time, and that's what he did.
(Y/n) looked at Giyu in the eye and gave him a soft closed eye smile. She wiped away her tears.
"Let's eat. I cooked Simmered Salmon with daikons just the way you like it!" She exclaimed happily, holding onto Giyu's hand.
Giyu knew that she placed that smile because she didn't want to seem weak in front of him. She wanted to stay strong. That's what Giyu and Sabito always does to her. They didn't show they're weak cause they want to be strong for (Y/n). And (Y/n) knew that. So...
"Let me be the strong one today, just for once. Okay, Giyu-chan?!" She exclaimed as she held a soft expression on her face. Almost the same as Makomo's since she's always the one with that expression.
