(Y/n)'s POV

Another 8 months has passed, a total of 20 months of Tanjiro staying here. Who would have known time flashes that quick? (A/n: anime weebs do... *maniacal chuckle)

Oji-chan said in the next 4 months, I can finally enter the Final Selection.

I stared at the bank paper on my desk. I am planning to send a note to Giyu-chan but.. How am I even gonna send it when his crow isn't even here...

I'm sure that old man will have a solution if not, then I guess I need to go to his estate then...

No matter the cost.

If you have a goal, you do it. If you did something halfway, you do it all. If you want to do something, you have it. If you want something, it's all yours. If you- well, you get it.

You were quite a stubborn child since you were born. You rarely take 'no' for an answer. It's not bad, you just have a big burning passion for things. Okay maybe too big.

I'm fine here if your asking. It's been awhile now huh? I am guessing you won't be coming to stopping by?

I just wanna say; I'm going to the Final Selection in the next 4 months!

I'm also going with a brat named Tanjiro and his little sister Nezuko!
She's really pretty even though she's a demon. I haven't talk to her yet, she's been in coma ever since.

I smiled at my finished letter. I placed down my brush and folded the letter.

"Woof!"

I heard Axel's call. I looked down to see him rolling around the mat. He laid on his back and looked at me.

I tilted my head, questioning him in silence. He stuck out his tongue in excitement, just like what a dog would do suddenly and dashed towards me. I quickly turned my body to catch him.

"Oof-" I learned back on my desk as he licked my face. I giggled.

"Bud! Chill! Down boy!" I said in between laughter. He stopped and looked at me.

Ah.. I recognize that look from a mile away.

I wholeheartedly smiled and chuckled. I cupped his squishy face full of fur as it forced for his tongue to blep out a bit.

"Don't worry, Ax! I'll always make sure to be always by your side!" I hugged him as he snuggled into my neck.

I sadly smiled. 'till the end of time...' I thought and patted his head.

"Come on, Axel. You should get some sleep. I'll be back alright?" I patted his head. He nodded. In a blink of an eye, he's already asleep. I chuckled and rolled him to my futon for more comfortable reasons.

Rolled him like a sack of potatoes, soft... potatoes...

I walked out of my room and glanced at a window. The moon was shining brightly at the night sky. Just like my first day here.

Author's POV

You started your midnight walk. It was a normal daily thing for you to do. Usually you'll be wondering around the house or outside in the woods.

And today is option one, wondering around the house.

Upon walking you noticed Tanjiro's designated room had light, indicating that he hasn't sleep or he just didn't put out the flame. You sighed, your curiousity is taking over you again.

You made your way to the room, making sure not to make any noise. As you arrive, you opened the shoji a little yet slowly. You peek inside to see him writing something down. It must be a journal. You heard him talking about it so that Nezuko doesn't stay behind from all of him training and life.

You opened the shoji open till it can reveal your full body. You leaned on the frame, left leg with all the weight as you crossed your arms.

'Looks like Ta-chan still haven't notice me...' You thought. And Yup, you have a little nickname for the boy since he had been calling you (N/n).

You knocked on the wall, surprising the poor boy and making him drop the brush. He turned towards you, clutching his heart as he stabilized his breathing.

"God, (N/n)! You scared the life out of me!" He whisperedly shouted. That old man is sleeping so gotta be quiet or else he be scolding again. You've been caught at least 2 times, luckily, you were the favourite child and you're very cunning.

(Y/n)'s POV

I chuckled. "What's with you, getting all jumpy and stuff?" I teased.

Tanjiro shock his head. "Ah, it's nothing. It's just that you really scared me a bit." He said as he grabbed his brush back to its original place.

He closed his book and turned to me. "Is there something bothering you?" He nicely asked. Well, that's his way of saying.

"Uh yeah. You have some serious train-yourself-program tomorrow. Annddddd it's midnight," I pointed out. Tanjiro's sleep schedule is usually 8pm ~ 6am. And no I'm not a stalker, it's just a pattern I have found for almost 2 years.

"Eh?! It's midnight?! Ah, I should get to be bed now! Thanks for telling me! Goodnight, (N/n)-chan!" Tanjiro exclaimed.

He bowed 90° degrees. I nodded and excused myself. I walked away from Ta-chan's room and closing the shoji in the process.

I chuckled and began roaming around the house again.

(A/n:alright I know this is boring and he's its just a filler. Butt I'll try my best to make the next chapter more interesting!
