Rey stood atop a tree branch looking over the wall into the garden. "All clear!" she called down to Ben and Finn.

Ben nodded, offering her a smile before he hopped away.

Finn smiled and waved nervously up at her, before hopping away to follow Ben.

Ben squeezed through the fence into the garden. "Come on, Finn."

Finn peeked through the fence. "Are you sure about this, Ben?"

"Yes, it's perfectly safe. Besides, don't you want to impress Rose?"

Finn looked up where Rose was keeping watch. He didn't want her to think that he was a coward, but he thought that Ben was being more foolish than brave, but he followed him nonetheless.

Finn followed Ben as he hopped towards the carrot patch.

Ben began to pull the carrots up from the ground and piled them into Finn's arms.

He had pulled up five carrots when he heard footsteps approaching.

"He's coming!" Rey called.

"Let's go," Finn said.

"Just one more," Ben answered, pulling up another carrot and placing it in Finn's arms.

Finn began to hop towards the gate when Mr. Hux stepped out in front of him.

"You go, I'll distract him," Ben said, hopping to the left.

It worked, Mr. Hux chased after Ben, trying to catch him, while Finn ran to the fence.

Ben wove his way through the garden paths attempting to escape the angry gardener.

He skidded to a stop as the stone wall of Mr. Hux's home appeared before him. He turned to the left, too late.

Mr. Hux gripped his black ears with an iron grip, Ben squirmed and struggled but he couldn't get free.

"You'll make a nice stew," Mr. Hux said, pulling out a knife.

"Ben!" Rey screamed. She hopped out of the tree, summersaulting over the fence and landing on her feet in the garden. She ran through the vegetable patches, grabbing two carrots as she went.

Mr. Hux had the knife drawn back ready to slice Ben's throat.

Rey used the carrots like swords, striking the gardener hard in the legs.

His legs buckled slightly in pain and the knife missed its mark, cutting Ben down the face instead of across his throat. The gardener's grip on his ears loosened and Ben wiggled free.

As he hit the ground, Rey grabbed his hand and began to pull him towards the fence. Mr. Hux was right behind them as they fled.

Finally, the fence came into view. Rey hurried forward, pulling him with her. She slid under the fence, then pulled him after her. She was a lot smaller than him, and he found it difficult to fit through the tight hole. The black fabric of his shirt got caught on the fence and he struggled to get free.

Rey knelt down and attempted to help him out, she pulled him out of the hole, but he was still stuck, his shirt was caught on something. They both yanked on it trying to pull it free to no avail.

"Just leave it," she told him, seeing Mr. Hux approach.

"But my mother made it for me," he protested.

"Ben," she said insistently, Mr. Hux was right behind him now.

Ben sighed, giving in and left it behind. Then they both hopped away to safety.
