White Wolf [Jacob Black] Book 1

Chapter 3

Evelyn woke up again, but for some reason she felt different. She tried to get up but everything in her body felt different. She finally manages to get up on shaky legs but she notices that the feet under her were not human legs. They looked like the legs from a wolf. She starts panicking and observing the rest of her body. She jumps back surprised seeing that her body was now a wolf. She starts to take deep breaths but then starts to realize that she's still really close to the school. She looks back with a hesitant look on her now wolf face thinking about how her sister would be worried but then starts running.

Evelyn runs for about fifteen minutes and then stops when she feels she far enough away from the school. She starts walking a little bit in her wolf form trying to figure what the hell was happening to her. She knew this couldn't be a dream because this couldn't just all of a sudden happen and it seemed to realistic to be a dream. Evelyn is still walking lost in her thoughts when she feels something huge slam into her. She looks up to see a huge black wolf on top of her. She struggles with him for a moment when she thinks she hears it talk.

"Who the hell are you!?" the wolf talks just holding her down. It was liking they were talking through their minds

"I'm Evelyn Swan!" she says out of breath scared out of her mind. Evy was surprised at the fact that she was able to communicate with another wolf.... unless he was able to do the same thing as her.

An almost surprised look crosses over the black wolf's face. The wolf get off of her and starts to observe her. A look of thinking and disbelief comes over the wolf's face. It was once he got off of her that Evelyn notices that there are two more wolves beside the black one. Evelyn looks at the three of them with a scared face trying to figure out what they were and what the hell was happening.

"Are you guys like me?" she asks them with a scared voice

The black wolf finally snaps out of his thought and looks to her, "Yes, if you want an explaination on whats happening with you, you have to follow us" he says a little more calm

Evelyn looks back at the wolf and thinks for a moment. He looks so serious and dominant. She hesitantly lets out a small ok and all three of the wolves turn around and walk the opposite way. Evelyn starts walking behind them. They walk for a couple of minutes before the dark gray wolf slows down and starts walking at the pace Evelyn is walking.

"I'm Jared Cameron. We're gonna try and explain everything we can to you alright? Don't be scared anymore" he said reassuringly

Evelyn snapped out of her thoughts and looked over at him, "Uhhhh, ok, thanks" Evelyn says with a wavering voice

They continue to walk beside each other. They continue to walk for about fifteen minutes before all of them approach a house. Evelyn paused there looking at the house before she saw the three wolves turn into human men. But Evelyn quickly looked away becauase the three of them were completely naked.

The former dark brown wolf chuckled "Alright you can turn around now"

Evelyn turned around in her wolf form and looked at the three men fully dressed.

"Alright, I'm gonna teach you how to shift back into your human form" the oldest man said

Evelyn gave a small nod in her wolf form and the man gave her a reassuring nod.

***Time Skip***

Evelyn was bare trying to cover herself from the men. Sam Uley came back with some clothes that would fit her and she quickly took them and put them on.

"Alright, now come with me. I'm gonna explain what's happening to you." Sam demanded

All four of them made their way inside the house. Jared and Paul made their way inside the home but Sam paused Evelyn and faced her.

"You're about to meet my girlfriend Emily, don't worry she knows about everything. But don't stare at her please" Sam said with a regretful look

"Why would I stare at her?" Evelyn asked with wonder

"Because I made a mistake." Sam replies with regret and sadness laced in his voice

Evelyn follows him inside the house. As she walks in she sees a beautiful women with sort of dark skin and jet black hair. Sam introduces her and Emily gives Evelyn a grin and a small hug. Evelyn now sees why Sam asked her not to stare. She has a big angry scar across her face. Like claw marks. Evelyn put two and two together and assumes that Sam put that scar there.

"It's nice to meet you" Evelyn says with a smile as they pull apart.

"Alright lets get to explaining" Sam says seriously.

Him and Evelyn approach the table, "So obviously you're confused about this whole situation" Evelyn nods nervously

"You're something called a shape-shifter. You can turn into a wolf as you saw out in the woods earlier. And we can too. Your job is to protect the human race from any other evil creatures. Me, Paul, and Jared are part of a pack." Sam starts to explain

"But why me? You guys are a pack you know? All your families are close with each other. Why am I the odd one out? Evelyn interrupts

"I don't know for sure yet but from what I saw from your wolf form your a special kind of wolf. Very rare. We're gonna have to get more answers form Billy" Sam replies

"Wait, Billy? As in Billy Black? He knows about this stuff?" Evelyn asks surprised

"Yes , and he can give us answers." Sam says seriously

Evelyn never thought she could have so many surprises in one day but she was proved very wrong.
