Chapter 7

On Saturday, Bella and Evy were cleaning Bella's car. Both of them had their headphones in, cleaning different parts of the car. They were drying off the car and almost finished when they heard a slam on top of the car. They both jumped. When Evy looked up she saw Edward on top of the car. Bella came to Evelyn when she found out that Edward was a vampire and then he finally admitted it to the both of them. Evelyn didn't exactly like the fact that Bella was dating a vampire but she had no opinion on what her sister did with her life and let her do whatever she wanted. The only thing she was lucky about was that her White Wolf power cause her wolf smell to be nonexistent to vampires plus it also didn't allow Edward to read her mind. So no one knew of the secret.

"Hey, Edward" Evy said as he jumped down from the top of the car

"Evelyn" he greeted and then she turned back towards the car and he turned towards her sister

"Could you act human? I've got neighbor." she said smiling

Edward gave her a smile, "I'm going to take you to my place tomorrow."

He pulled a dent out from the car.

"Thanks... uhh... wait, like with your family?" she asked clearly getting nervous

"Yea" Edward smiled

"What if they don't like me?"

Evelyn and Edward laughed at this, "So you're worried, not because you'll be in a house full of vampires, but because you think they won't approve of you?"

"I'm glad I amuse you guys"

Suddenly Edward has a serious face on, "What is it?"

Edward had almost a look of anger in his face, "A complication, I'll pick you up tomorrow"

Edward quickly sped to his car and drove away. Evelyn looked down the road and quickly understood why he got so tense. She saw Billy and Jacob approaching in their car. They parked their car and Jacob helped his dad out of the car.

"Hey, come to visit your truck?" Bella smiled while Evy came to stand beside her.

"Actually we came to visit your flat screen. First Mariners game of the season. Plus, Jacob here keeps bugging me about seeing you guys again. He gets a little bit of Evy but I guess he justs keeps missing you guys." Billy jokes and both of them laugh lightly

Bella turns to Evy, "You go to the rez?"

"Yea, every weekend" Evelyn smiles avoiding Billy's eyes because he's the only one that knows she's there everyday for patrol.

Charlie saves the awkwardness when he approaches them with two six-packs of beer. As they all walked up towards the house the two men started talking about the murder of Waylon, one of Charlie's close friends. Evy knew that a vampire had gotten to him and she was angry at the fact that she couldn't save him. The teenagers' fathers watched and drank all night. Evy had wished that Embry and Quill were here it would've made the moment way more enjoyable.

"There's gonna be a cookout on the rez tomorrow night. Do you wanna come?" Jacob asked Evy before him and his father had left

"Uhhh yea sure. I'll be there" Evy smiled at Jacob. A smile that he returned.

"Great. I'll see you tomorrow then Evy" Jacob said walking down the front steps

"Yep" Evy smiled as she closed the door
