Chapter 6

Everyday after school, Sam had Evelyn patrolling some afternoons and other times he had her heal all three of them so that they could patrol. She was honestly tired, she never knew how tiring it was. The weekends were her favorite part of the week; she would always hang out with Jacob, Embry and Quil. Sometimes it would be her and Jacob alone but she still enjoyed it either way. Sometimes she wished that the Saturdays lasted longer than they did because she enjoyed bonding with them so much.

Billy and Sam always told her that it was important for her to protect the people against vampires and any other evil creature so she always went back to patrolling and healing during the week. The best part about Evelyn's powers were that she could heal her pack members but she could also heal herself.

One day she was patrolling with the Paul and they both came back. Paul had made a joke and Evelyn put her hand on his arm while laughing. Paul had felt this weird sensation and started randomly laughing with Evelyn. When she lifted her hand off he abruptly stopped and Paul looked at her confused.

"How did you do that? It's like I felt all your laughter and happiness pass on to me" Paul said

Evelyn looked at her hands, "I don't know. It's probably nothing"

Evelyn and Paul walked in to Sam's backyard and Evelyn saw that Jared had a look of pain on his face. Evelyn jogged up to them and worry rushed over to him. As she concentrated on figuring out what to heal on his body, Paul and Sam observed her.

"Sam, try touching Evy's arm" Sam thought Paul was joking until he saw the serious look on his face. Sam went to go touch her arm and then gasps in surprised at the feeling that overcame him; its like he felt all of the worry Evelyn had for her pack member take over him.

He let go of her a few second later, "Sam, what happened?"

"I touched you and its like I felt all your emotion in those few seconds I touched" Sam said in disbelief

"See? I knew we weren't going crazy" Paul said a little loudly, startling everyone. At that point Jared was healed and confused about the situation

"We need to go to Billy about this." Sam said

***Time Skip***

Sam, Paul, and Evelyn explained what was happening, while Jared just sat there listening as well.Billy had a look a surprise on his face.

"I've only ever heard one of these types of White Wolves. Only a selective few were given this type of power. But it's called empathy powers. You make your other pack members feel what you feel and even you could even learn how to make them feel other emotions. Say if they're angry, Evelyn could make them feel with just a few seconds of skin to skin contact"

"Is it easy to manage and learn?" Evelyn asked

"I mean, if you're already able to pass your emotions onto one of the pack member you can most likely change there emotions as well. This includes physically too. Try to inflict pain on Sam"

Evelyn looked at Sam for permission and when he stuck out his hand she got nervous. She closed her eyes trying to focus on the powers. She put her hand on Sam and then after a few seconds she heard Sam groan in pain and she opened her eyes to see that he had a look of pain on his face. She quickly pulled her hand away and chuckled lightly. Sam shook his head a little and laughed.

"That's enough for today let's get a break" Sam said and all of them smiled

***Time Skip***

"Hi Billy, where's Jacob?" Evy approached Billy and then saw that Harry was with him "Oh, hi Harry"

"He's in the back again Evelyn" Billy and Harry gave her a smile and she walked towards the back

Evelyn approached Jacob on the back porch and saw that Jacob was reading a book. She assumed he was doing homework.

"Wow, I never thought I would see the day, Jacob Black doing his homework" Evelyn joked

Jacob smiled, "I thought you were coming over later?"

"What? A girl can't come to see her friend a little earlier?"

"No" Jacob joked back which cause him to get shoved

"Oof, Shakespeare, fun" Evelyn looked at the book he was reading

"I hope fun means incomprehensible than yes, you are very correct" Evelyn laughed at his statement

"You look tired. You ok?" Jacob asked. Evelyn looked out at the forest in front of her.

"I'm fine. Just stressed about school stuff"

"You sure? You know you can tell me anything right?" Evelyn nodded answering both of his questions

Jacob sighed then a sly smile grew on his face, "Do you trust me?"

"Uhhh no" Evelyn joked

Jacob rolled his eyes, "Come on, I'm gonna show you something."

Evelyn stood up and followed Jacob into the wood. They eventually got to the La Push beach and so many memories of Evelyn and Jacob came across her mind. She has a grin on her face as she looks out into the water.

"Do you remember it?" Jacob brought her out of her thoughts

She pointed to some random place on the beach "That is where we put sand in each other's hair and then ended up getting yelled at by your mom"

"Yea it took both of us hours to get not even half of the sand out of our hair" Jacob laughed and then Evelyn joined him

"Yea we were horrible kids" Evelyn said

"You're still horrible" Jacob joked

Evelyn was shocked and started shoving him, which then led him to pick her up her up and start tickling her. She felt her heart rate rise, then she felt her body temperature rise. She started to get worried and then used her wolf stregth to get off of him and run towards the water to cool down.

"Evelyn, you ok?" Jacob asked confused

"Yea I'm good" she splashed a little water at him to release a bit of the awkwardness from the situation.

It seemed to wear off a bit before Jacob said "Why don't we head back and hang out in my room? Maybe you could help me understand Shakespeare a bit more" Jacob said after a few seconds

Evelyn laughed, " Yea sure"

They headed back to his house and into his room a hung out for the rest of the afternoon.
