I went to school the next day and saw Lorraine in math. I sat with her and started talking before class began.

"Do you want to meet the gang today after school?" I asked. "Sure," she said. "I forgot to ask, what are your hobbies?", I asked. "I love acting and doing theater I was in a lot of plays growing up," she said. "That's cool," I said.

After class, I texted Pony about Lorraine meeting the gang. He's ok with it. I put my phone away and walked to science. I saw Twobit and sat with him.

I sat with Lorraine at lunch. "They're ok with you meeting them", I said. "Okay," she said. "You're gonna love them."

After school, I took Lorraine to the Curtis house. She was pretty nervous and I can't blame her. She had her black leather jacket on so you can tell she was a greaser.

We were both at the door and I opened it. All the boys looked at me and greeted me. "This is my friend Lorraine, Lorraine this is Ponyboy, Sodapop, Steve, Twobit, Johnny, Dally, and Darry," I said. They all greeted her.

Lorraine
They all seemed nice. I wanted to take my jacket off. I went up to Darry who was in the kitchen. "Where can I put my jacket?" I asked. "You can just leave it on one of the chairs here," he said referring to the chairs at the table. "Ok thank you," I said. "Yeah, no problem," he said. I took my jacket off and it revealed my amputated arm.

I went out to the living room where everyone was watching tv. They all turned their heads and were shocked. "I forgot to tell u that I have one arm," I said. "It's okay," Soda said. "You can still be a part of the gang," Johnny said. "Plus it makes you look tough," Dally said.

When it was dinner time I explained why I have one arm. They were all listening. "Before I was born my arm was infected and the doctors had to amputate it. I've had six surgeries that shaved the tissue down and all that but yeah it's crazy. I've gone through bullying and ups and downs and learned how to do things with one hand when most people do it with two. But I got used to it and still doing good with it" I said.

When I looked at them after I told them they all looked shocked and had some sympathy for me. "We're here for you no matter what," Pony said. "Don't listen to the people who are mean to you" Steve said. "You're always welcome here," Darry said. It was the first time that I felt welcomed in a family and I don't what I would do if I hadn't met them.

Dally
I saw Lorraine sitting on the couch alone. I got up and sat next to her and I figured she needed some company.

"Hi Lorraine, how's life? I asked. "Hi Dally, it's good what about you?", she replied. "It's good for me as well, but I thought I should get to know you." She smiled "Yeah I don't mind." I smiled and we had a pretty long conversation. She talked about how she was in theater and what plays she did. I honestly thought it was really cool that she does acting.

"How about you, what are you interested in?" she asked. "I like hanging out with the gang and going to parties at Tim Shepard's house." She looked at me confused. "Who's Tim Shepard?" "He's another guy from another gang I know." "Oh okay", she replied.

"How do you feel with only having one arm?" I asked. "It's okay but it can be difficult sometimes. Throughout my life, I've learned how to do things with one hand. For example, it's hard cutting up food, tying my shoes, and putting my hair up." I was shocked at what she just told me. The fact that she does things with one hand amazes me. "Wow, that's really impressive," I said shocked. "Thank you, it took me some time to get used to it but other than that it's been okay to deal with." I chuckled "yeah I can tell."
