Chapter 8: The Final Battle

The final battle was fierce and Star and Marco made their way through the battle field wearing their capes Marco remade for each other to find Toffee, and soon they were in the center of the battle field with Toffee, "It's all come to this hasn't it...?" Star said, raising her wand to Toffee, "One little Butterfly against me.... this will be easy..." Toffee said but Star smiled, "Who said I was alone?" she said, Toffee looked confused but soon his confusion turned into shock as Moon and Eclipsa appeared, but not just them, Skywyne, Jushtin, Solaria, Festivia, Dirhhennia, Crescenta, Rhina, Celena, Estrella, and Comet all  then walked forward, wands ready and pointed at Toffee, "Get ready for the Butterfly Wave Toffee..." Star said, Toffee couldn't believe it, every Mewni queen was standing before him, "Wow, 13 queens with one stone..." Toffee said with an evil grin on his face, "Let's do this ladies queens!!!" Star said and all the wands fire their go to spells, Skywyne fires her Warnicorn Stampede, Jushtin uses his Creaky Knees spell, Solaria uses her wand sword, Eclipsa uses her Black Velvet Inferno Spell, Festivia uses her Soda Fountain spell, Dirhhennia uses her Paint the Room Black Spell, Crescenta uses her Levitato spell, Rhina uses her spell to break a demons heart, Celena uses her Shyness spells, Estrella uses her Drawing to Life spell, Comet uses her Nightsade Disarm spell, Moon uses her Light Sword spell, and Star used iconic Mega Narwhal Blast spell.

The battle between the Butterfly's and Toffee was a long one, every Butterfly fighting as best as they can to defeat Toffee, Star notices that each spell they throw at Toffee was stunning him but he was withstanding them, Star knew there was only one way to finish him off and she had to do it now. Mina woke up and saw Star getting ready to finish off Toffee, she knew if she lost Toffee, she would be back where she was when they destroyed the magic, Mina grabbed a sword and charged at Star, as Star charged up her wand for her final spell Mina stabbed her in the back, pain rushed through her entire body, "AAAAAGH!!!!" Star screamed, "STAR!!!!" Moon yelled as she used her Neon Whip spell on Mina and Solaria finished her off for good, Star holding her wound as it slowly dripped blood raised her wand and said the incantation to the deadliest spell in all of Mewni. "I call the darkness onto me, from deepest depths of earth and sea...", Moon knew exactly what Star was going to do, "Star no!!! The spell is too strong for you!!!" she said trying to get her to stop, but it was no use Star kept going, "From ancient evils unawoken, break the one that can't be broken...", purple lightning started to form from Star's wand and the other queens took notice of this activity including Toffee, "No.... not again!!!" he screamed, he tried to charge at the Star but the other queens used their magic to hold him still for Star's finishing strike. "To blackest night I pledge my soul, and crush my heart to burning coal..." Marco saw what Star was about to do and knew this was too strong for her, "Star stop!!! You know what this spell will do to you!!!" he yelled but just like Moon it was no use, Star kept going. "To summon forth a deathly power, to see my hated foe devoured!!!" Purple cracks started to form on Star's wrist's as she looked at Moon and Marco and said three words, "I love you..." and soon the spell fired in a massive purple explosion.

The queens and Marco couldn't see a thing in the purple smoke, but soon Celena used her fan to clear the smoke and everyone saw nothing but rubble where Toffee stood and Star was nowhere to be seen, "Star?! STAR?!" Moon shouted, but Star didn't respond, Moon dug through the rubble tearing up trying not to think of the worse that could've happened to Star, Marco began to dig with Moon tears in his eyes, "She's has to be here.... she's got to be here!!!" Moon said still digging at the rubble, the queens knew Star was gone, "Sweetie..." Comet said, Moon looked at Comet with tears in her eyes, "I'm afraid... she's gone sweetie..." Comet continued, Moon hugged Comet tears flowing down her cheeks, Marco couldn't believe it, he promised he would protect Star with his life... and now she's gone. While Star's army had won the Battle for Earth-ni, the Butterfly's had lost, Moon in tears got up knowing Star was gone and never coming back, but Marco not giving up on her kept digging, "Marco... please... stop..." Moon said, and Marco looked up at her, "Your giving up on her?! Star was everything to us and your giving up on her?! You may have given up, but I swore to protect her with my life, and I'm not giving up on her!!" Marco said staying determined to find Star, and as he dug he found signs of pink in the rubble and dug even faster and pulled out Star horn head piece and he thought she must still be buried and kept moving rocks and debris and he saw something that made him gasp, he saw Star passed out under the rubble, but the rubble had stopped inches from her but she was still pretty banged up and bruised, Marco grabbed her and pulled her out from the rubble to see her covered in cuts, scratches, and bruises, "Star, come on wake up!!!" he yelled, but Star didn't wake up.

Marco tried to feel a pulse in Star but felt nothing, he then tried to perform CPR on her but nothing worked, "Star please wake up!! PLEASE!!!" Marco yelled trying to get her to wake up, but Star didn't respond, her wand slowly fell out of her hand and it rolled to the ground, "Star.... please don't leave me...." Marco said tears filling his eyes, Glossaryck then appeared and saw Star dead, "There might be a way to save her.... but I don't know if it'll work..." he said, Marco looked at him, "What is it?! Please, I'll do anything to save her!!" Marco said determined to save Star, Glossaryck then pointed to the sanctuary of magic and Marco knew they had to go to realm of magic, "Ok, let's go..." Marco said, he then picked up Star's body and the queens followed them to magic sanctuary. The Battle for Earth-ni was fierce but Star's army was victorious, of course there were many casualties and wounded but they all pulled through especially Marco and Star's friends. Janna, though very beaten and scratched up had pulled through the battle, "Aw man, my arm. It hurts..." Janna said, she then looked at her arm and saw it was cut, but Tom knew how to treat it, "Let me see it Janna." Tom said, Janna got closer to Tom and used his demon powers to cauterize her cut till they could get to the hospital, "That should keep it safe till we can get to the hospital." Tom said, "Thanks Tom." Janna said and she gave him a kiss on the cheek, all of Marco and Star's friends pulled through very well, Jackie barely had any cuts or scrapes, although her skateboard was broken but she didn't mind, Pony Head while having a small cut on her cheek pulled through without loosing her horn this time, Alfonzo and Ferguson while being very beat up and scratched survived the entire battle even if they did run most of the time, Kelly and Jorby with Tad, while being one of the front lines in the battle, they were one of the people who had the least amount of cuts and scrapes, Starfan13 while being the decoy to Star, she came away with only a few cuts and bruises, however some people had to have emergency medical attention.

Most of the St. Olga princesses had suffered major damage and had to be rushed to the hospital quickly, Talon while being a cool guy, was knocked off his dragoncycle during the battle and broke his arm, Roy was crushed in his goblin dog car, but was able to escape with only a broken leg and some cuts, Meteora and Mariposa, while fighting along side each other, they both suffered a stab to the gut sending them both to the hospital for immediate healing, the Magical High Commission also suffered, Rhombulus' head was now cracked, not completely but it was cracked, Omnitraxis Prime accidentally collided two universes during battle, and Heckapoo's flame was extinguished accidentally, but she has clones so she made a full recovery quickly, and sadly there were those who didn't pull through and died in battle. Most of the monsters who helped Star in battle had met their end including Buffrog who had fought till the very end, most of the dragoncycles were also shot down in battle, Nachos pulled through but most of her brothers and sisters didn't, and sadly, there was Star who pulled through right till the very end till she gave her life to stop Toffee and save Earth-ni.
