Days were passing by happily with Keesha and Damien building their relationship gradually. Keesha was happy to have found someone like Damien whilst Damien was glad to have Keesha as his mate.

Keesha had just finished her last exam and with it her last day of high school. She was tired and just wanted to treat herself with some sleep and maybe a massage. She met Joey in the hallway and they decided to have a relaxing day together. She texted Damien telling him her plans for the day. He was adamant at first but when it came to his Queen's happiness anything was fine, so he agreed begrudgingly.

Keesha came to an empty home with a note from Damon saying he was out with his friends and some money to order pizza and treat herself for her hardwork during the exams.

She had a nice relaxing bath and got dressed in her favorite onesie when she heard a knock. Joey came over as promised.

"What pizza do you want?"

"Pineapple and pepperoni," Joey said after some thinking.

"How do you even like pineapple on a pizza, just imagining it makes me cringe," Keesha couldn't help but comment. Some people do like it but the combination is so weird that it makes me feel not so good.

"Well, it tastes so good that once you go pineapple on a pizza, you don't go back"

"Why do I even have a friend like you!"

"You know it's because of all this handsomeness, nobody says no to this ;)," Joey said pointing towards himself and smirking.

"Yeah sure, whatever helps you sleep at night," Keesha just rolled her eyes and ordered pizza with pineapple for Joey and some olives and corn and extra cheese for herself.

They put on a movie got under the blankets with their pizza and chillaxed. Halfway through both of them fell asleep.

Keesha woke up super relaxed and stress free. She couldn't remember the last time she was this worry free. Damon told her Joey had left as his mom had called him asking him to return. They tried waking her up but she was in such a deep sleep that she just wouldn't.

Damien was spending his time away from Keesha with Lucien telling him how amazing she is. Lucien on the other hand was paying more attention to his game than to Damien. They were at their favourite bar hanging out like old times. Lucien was truly happy for Damien, but couldn't help miss his Live. He imagined how it would be like if she was here today. Would she and Keesha be friends. His eyes held moisture in the memory of his love. Unknowingly, he had opened the picture of them together on their first date. He looked at her and smiled remembering how he had made her laugh, how they had shared a candy floss and the glow on her face when he had won her a huge teddy bear.

Seeing the change in demeanor of his friend, Damien felt guilty for he knew that somewhere he was at fault for his friend's sadness. He knew his mistake of talking about his love to someone who had lost theirs.

"She would not be happy seeing you sad Lucien. You have to stop blaming yourself for her death. She gave her life for you, you were her life. I bet she'd be frowning and would want to hit your head for thinking this way," Damien told with a sad chuckle

"I know but I can't help it. Knowing I could have stopped it yet couldn't makes me miserable. Everytime I think of her I blame myself for being alive while she's dead. It weighs on me," Lucien said with a voice so sad it made Damien heart hurt for his best friend.

"You have to remember her by the happy memories you have of her, only then will she truly rest in peace. Seeing you sad made her sad and you know it as well as I do. Only when she sees you happy and healthy she'll find peace. She might not be here with us but she'll always be in our hearts," Damien consoled his friend. He couldn't even imagine losing Keesha for one day let alone forever. Thinking of it gave him chills and made his heart clench painfully.

They say when you lose a soulmate you lose half of yourself. I guess this is why those who have lost their soulmates tend to follow them to the afterlife.

A/N:-
The concept of soulmates has always  fascinated me. I think humans have soulmates too. Like there is this one person in the who was made for you. That one person who completes you in a way nobody else can. Time or age don't matter when it comes to your soulmate. You could've dated a person for many years yet you don't feel that connection, and you could've known a person for a month and you know that that person is the one for you. The one who understands you, completes you, is your better half and loves you unconditionally.
