Act 0: Hope To Be Whole

Claire's P.O.V.

I was walking through the castle halls, going about my life, as I have for the past two or three Earth years... at least I think it's been that long... could be longer.

I went into my room and sat down on my bed. Half-laying down on the bed, I thought about how long it had been since those moments... since that secret that Max held in for so long. How could he have the patience?

Sighing, I got up and walked over to the corner of my room that I had devoted to a study. I pulled a book and the bookcase rolled aside. I pulled out the chest with a lotus and the Neol symbol carved on the top from the crevice in the wall.

I opened the chest to look at my two most precious treasures...

Max gave them to me... right before he left. Pulling them out, I looked at the first one. A lotus... I enchanted it so that I could keep it around... because I didn't want to lose something that allowed me to feel close to my friends...

I put the lotus back and pulled out the other object...

His mask... from when he is Tuxedo Lotus...

"Max...why did you set me up to be miserable again? I miss you..." I looked at the various pictures I hid behind the wall. "I miss all of you."

Holding the mask close to my heart, I sighed and fell back onto the bed again.

I've been having problems with my communicator lately, so I can't hear back from them when I try to talk to them...

If only I could see them all again...

Wait...

That's it!

I got up and set the mask down on my bed as I ran to change into something better... something more suitable for the occasion...

After changing and doing my hair, I ran out of my room, mask in hand once more, and into Elise's chambers.

"Elise!" I exclaimed. She turned around with a look of surprise.

"What's gotten you so happy? The last time you were so happy was when you were on Earth."

"That's just it. You need to fill in for me while I go to Earth."

"What?! I can't possibly! This isn't a game Claire! Queens can't just leave their planet to go off on adventures!"

"Well then... consider this an adventure involving a return of someone's possession to them? Deputy Queen Elise, your rule starts..." I opened a portal in her room using my staff, causing a bit of a mess. "Sorry about the mess... it starts now." And then I ran through the portal.

I could faintly hear Elise calling after me, but I hardly care.

I'm finally going to see them all again...

I can finally be whole once more.
