Destiny's P.O.V.

I felt a powerful surge of energy run through me. I recognize the energy. It's what my mother-

"Destiny," Morpha began, interrupting my train of thought. "You're not focusing on your training."

"I'm sorry... it's just..." Should I really tell them?

"Just what?" Castor asked, suddenly shooting up from his position of laying down in the grass.

"I..." I mean... they're my friends, right? They wouldn't tattle on me.

I looked at Castor, who was looking at me pleadingly. His hands were clasped together. His eyes seemed hurt. He wasn't just asking...

He was BEGGING me to tell him.

I sighed. That face is my main weakness when it comes to hiding things. I've already spilled out my feelings regarding multiple topics. I hope he doesn't ask me THAT question though...

"Okay... well, as you know, I am the daughter of the universal guardian and goddess Claire Neol in my particular timeline. However, I was born without life. I was powered by the same energy source that my mother used to create the city of New Telopye, a safe haven on Neol. However, my existence was supposed to end when a girl from another future timeline, Serenity, threatened the key decisions that would lead up to the finding of that energy source. You all saved me from that fate, of course, but..."

"But what?" Castor asked.

"I sensed it. Someone found the energy. There's still hope for my future. There's still hope for New Telopye. There's still hope for Claire and Maxwell Zuki's revolutionary discoveries. There's still hope for the Council of Neol. There's still hope for ME..." I noticed how Morpha's eyes grew wider upon hearing the name Maxwell Zuki... what IS her past-err future-err whatever- anyway?

"I wished you'd just forget about all that," she said, straightening up her posture. She took her dark sword out of the ground. "But it appears I can no longer avoid my mission."

"Mission?" I asked. Castor also spoke up.

"What mission?"

"The doctor gave me orders," she said. I noticed a black tear streaming down her face as she turned to a smoke-like form. "Once you're in with us, you're in it for life... that's what he'd always say. Destiny, there isn't hope for you having a future outside of where you are now." She vanished, the black tear staining the ground. "I'm sorry."

"Morpha!" Castor yelled after her. I realized what she was about to do.

"MORPHA!" I screamed, my voice breaking. "NO! STOP!"

I couldn't help it.

I cried.

Castor hugged me and tried to comfort me.

"This is what happened to me too," he said, sniffling. "I really am sorry for you, Destiny..."

"No... this can't be real..."

~~~~~~~~~~
What is Morpha going to do?
Why are Castor and Destiny so sad?
How was there still hope?
Will we ever know?
Okay. The answer to that last one was obviously yes.
