Act 6: Television Education

Destiny's P.O.V.

I like Claire. She's very understanding and doesn't pry at the future, unlike how I know someone else would.

"1, 2, step, turn around, hands on hips!" I instructed Claire as we danced.

"I'm not sure what is going on," Claire sang along in her native tongue. "All I know and can be certain of is you. You're trustworthy, charming, and make me laugh and have fun. All I want to do now is stay close to you. If we die then I'll die with you, for when we are together, we can live forever. And when I stare into your eyes under Tyri's light, and you make the fi-"

The television suddenly turns black. Claire and I then look up to see Maxwell Zuki holding the plug to the TV.

"Awww! Maxwell! We were bonding!" Max ignored my comment and looked at Claire.

"Claire, we need to talk."

I watched as they walked outside. I ran up to the window to see if I could see what was going on, but all I witnessed was inaudible arguing.

"Maxwell sure has changed since my last visit to the past... good thing he doesn't remember that..."

I then realized that Claire hit Max, her eyes teary, before storming off.

I wonder what happened...

Max's P.O.V.

I'm telling you, Piper! It's like they're cut from the same cardboard!" Yup. I was confiding in her expertise again.

"Cut from the same cardboard? Now who's making up the expressions?"

"Not now, Piper. I'm venting. The moment I heard Claire sing Destiny's song, I knew something was up... when I heard Tyri, Neol's moon, mentioned... and now I realize... Destiny is either Neolian, related to a Neolian, or sent to spy on us by Claire's future enemies."

"Future enemies? Zuki, you've lost your touch. You're paranoid."

"I'm not! I just have every reason not to trust her! I then heard music.

"I have the honor to be your obedient servant!" Claire and Destiny were singing along.

"Piper, did you turn on Hamilton for them?"

"I couldn't help it. Being the one to expose Claire to various productions is addicting."

"Piper!" I then ran to shut it off.

"What the heck is wrong with you?!" Destiny yelled at me.

"Justin set a limit to how much TV you can watch in a day."

"Then let Justin shut it off!" I then looked at Claire, who had been silent this whole time. She was looking at me with the DEADLIEST STARE EVER...

Destiny's P.O.V.

Serenity came back from work not too long after. I watched from inside as Max was the first to greet her in the yard. However, this time, instead of a handshake or something, he hugged her... I don't know why... and then I heard Claire's breathing hitch.  I looked up at her and saw her take out the earbuds that were in her ears and hand my mPlayer back to me.

"I'm sorry... I think I'm going to stop here for today. Thank you though..." She then left to her room, and then I looked at which soundtrack she was on in my playlist...

Claire must've heard the commotion of welcoming Serenity home, but couldn't stand how the music and the scene played out in unison...

I don't either...

And I especially didn't like it when she placed a kiss on Max's cheek. (You're probably thinking: FINALLY she uses that word... but why on the cheek?)

I went through the halls to my room, not expecting anything else to happen. As usual, I was wrong. There was laughter. I looked through a door that was cracked open slightly and saw Ahsoka and Edric doing some weird martial arts strangling match...

Why are they all so weird?

I'm sorry this was so short. I just didn't feel like writing another battle scene.

Poor Claire...

I just ruin all friendships...

And Piper is STILL getting in trouble.

And Destiny has a LONG playlist...

Look forward to learning more about Destiny's past! Or really, her future!
