Reminiscing

"Congrats on the promotion babe." My best friend Asia said.

"Thanks boo, but I couldn't have done it without you."  I replied giving her a hug.

"Whatever, this was all you this time. Oh and hurry up so you can give your little speech." She said slapping a sandwich out of my hand and handing me a glass of apple cider.
She walked off and went to the middle of the office floor. 

"Hello can I have everyone's attention!!" She yelled and slowly everyone turned her way. 

She looked at me for a long time, so I walked into the middle of the circle and started speaking.

"First I would like thank everyone for the help and the support. I really couldn't have done any of it without you all, and because of that I promise I won't let you and this company down. I wanted to keep this speech simple and sweet so thanks and i'm so excited to be your knew executive." I said while earning a few laughs from people.
I quickly walked off to chat with a few other people when Haley a co-worker called me over. 

 " Ashanti have you met Asia's fiance? Why would I ask that i'm sure you have."  Haley said in remembrance because Asia was my Best Friend.

"Wait, fiance?" I said almost spitting out my drink really confused.

" Yeah he's over there." Haley said pointing at a guy standing in the far corner looking at me as if I should know. 

"Well this is a hell of a surprise. Why didn't you tell me you were engaged? Or even in a relationship." I said looking over at Asia slightly angry and really surprised.

"Well I kinda- it was gonna be a surprise." She said clearly telling a lie.

"I'm certainly surprised. Why don't you call him over so we or me your best friend can meet him." I said sarcastically.

"Ummm okay." She said nervously walking in his direction.

To me this whole situation seemed a lot off. Why would she want to surprise me out of all people. I'm very supportive of her in any relationship it just doesn't seem right. I thought to myself.

We all adverted our eyes to her and the mysterious guy she would be marrying soon. They seem to have be in a heated conversation, so we all turned back around to let them have some privacy. After what seemed like forever they were walking our way and I still couldn't make out who he was. As he got closer it dawned on me that he was my boyfriend.

"Guys this is my fiance Zayn, Zayn these are my friends Haley, Kim, Sandy, Trish, and Ashanti." She said gesturing to all of us like it was a real introduction.

He reached out and shook there hands and of course saved me for last. He stuck his hand in my direction and I looked at it and glared at him.

"So anyway Kim can I talk to you for a second. I really need that file from your desk, the one about the woman killing her husband. I think it's time for me to get back to work." I said facing Kim giving her the bitch I have to tell you something look. Zayn pulled his hand to his side. The rest of the girls looked at me confused but Kim still walked me to her office. When we made it in I closed the door and spilt the tea.

"Bitch so tell me why her "fiance" is my fucking boyfriend, who I've been dating for some years now." I said folding my arms mad as hell.

"What!!"She screamed really loud then covered her mouth. I ran to the door peaked out and sure enough everyone was looking. I closed the door and continued our conversation.

"Beat her ass now." Kim said out of nowhere.

"Wait you want me to fight her here?" I asked.

"Yes, fuck her up. Better yet go beat his ass fuck her and as a matter fact I got her for you. That's some dirty ass shit." Kim said changing into her gym shoes that were under her desk.

"This  just blew the hell out of me. How the fuck did they not think I was going find out?" I said to no one in piticular.

"All im saying is do what you gotta do." Kim said while opening the office door.

I walked out and one thing that was set in my mind was to fuck him up. Fuck her she wasn't the friend I thought she was.

"Are you fucking her?" I asked Zayn really loud.

He looked at me and said nothing.

"So now you cant answer me? I asked you a simple fucking question and you cant tell me?" I asked hitting him in between words.

"Im sorry baby I didn't mean to, it was a mistake." He said trying to reach out for me but a male co-worker pulled me away.

"A fucking mistake! So cheating on me with my best friend was a mistake? Then saying she was your fiance was a mistake too right?" I yelled trying to loosen the grip on who I turned to look at and found out was Greg holding me.

"Ashanti yes we didn't mean-" "SHUT THE HELL UP!" I yelled cutting Asia off.

"I don't give a fuck about what you have to say. Your a home wrecker you know that? Bitch you knew I was pregnant and you did this to me" I said earning gasp from everyone in the room. After that Greg let me go, I guess he felt I had all right to be mad.

"Me out of all people? I fucking take care of you Zayn. You have nothing no family nothing. And you screw me over. Hell if you wanted to screw me over you could at least have been with a Bitch that look better." I said pissed.

"Baby I'm sorry please forgive me I didn't mean too." Zayn said walking towards me.

"Don't come near me. I fucking hate both of you. Were done I'm not your baby anymore. Have you forgotten you have a fiance?" I said wiping my eyes and walking to get my stuff from my office.

"So you know I'm beating yo ass right." Kim said to Asia as I was walking out to the elevator.

"Kim that hoe anit even worth it." I said to Kim.

"Ashanti I'm fucking her up. I don't take shit like this lightly." Kim said.

"Well do what you have to do because I don't even care anymore. Oh and here maybe you want to see what you create before you destroyed it." I said throwing my ultrasound at Zayn and walking off.
    I got on that elevator and pressed the ground floor.     
  And that was the last day I ever saw anyone in that office.
Well anyway that was 3 years ago and I'm actually engaged. And of course he isn't stupid enough to cheat at least I hope so.
