"Today is the day." The older nurse came in and said.

"Yes it is and I'm pretty excited seeing as I hate the hospital." I replied picking up my stuff from the table.

"I will miss you though. Your the only patient I liked caring for and the only patient whose family visits everyday." She said smiling. I looked at her confused because no one had come to see me since Alex and I argued.

"What do you mean? No one has come to visit me since last week." I asked her.

"The young man who was in here when I brought you the ice cream came every night right before visiting time was over." She said confusion laced in her voice. Well that makes perfect sense, I was sleep all the time.

"Oh right, my mind is somewhere else today I guess." I said trying to play it off as if I knew. She looked at me like a mother would a child who had just been hurt.

"Are you okay sweetie?" She asked me.

"Yeah I'm fine, just to excited to get home." I said smiling a little.

"Okay. Well you can sign out at the front desk and you can be on your way." She said shutting off the light in the room.

"Thank you." I said to her walking out and down the hall. When I had made it to the front desk the receptionist looked up like she was surprised to see me.

"Oh Ashanti Hi. She said.

"Hi." I said kinda confused how everyone in the hospital knew my name.

"Here are your discharge papers and here is your bill. Although its paid we're still required to give it to you." She said smiling.

"Paid?" I asked her.

"Yeah, I think your fiance paid." She said looking at the paper and shaking her head yes.

"Oh right I forgot." I said signing the papers and waving to her goodbye.

As I was walking out of the hospital I saw Finn standing by his Range Rover I assumed waiting for me.

I don't want to get in the car with him but I have to walk that way in order to get home. So I looked down at my phone acting as if I didn't see him because he wasn't looking my way. I walked a little faster trying to get past him but he stopped me.

"Ashanti! You don't see me?" He asked laughing a little. I looked up from my phone and squinted my eyes from the sun.

"Uh no sorry." I said to him.

"Well I came to pick you up." Bosses orders. He said.

"No it's fine, I'm just gonna walk home. I need the fresh air anyway." I said smiling at him.

"Now you know I can't let that happen. He'll go crazy if I let you walk by yourself." He said grabbing my arm.

"Finn really I'm fine I just wanna walk. If it makes you feel better you can walk with me." I said tugging him my way.

"Fine." He said finally walking with me.

It was silent for the first two minutes so I decided to speak up.

"So how are you." I said.

"Good how about you?" He asked.

"I've been better." I said pointing to my nose and laughing.

"Yeah I know. But your a soldier for taking that hit. Which you shouldn't have but you are." He said quickly to make sure I was okay with what he said.

"Its fine, I guess I am. But it hurt like hell." I said laughing.

"I can't imagine." He said chuckling a little. We had finally walked up to my building.
