(LAO)
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Chong," Dayu kept on apologizing to Chong while the latter was laying down on the hospital bed with his eyes closed.
"Why? Why, for the love of all things holy, can't the two of you be civilized people for one moment?" Qing rubbed a hand on his exasperated face as he stood near the foot of the bed. "Why does it always end up like a competition to the two of you? Why?!" In the end there, Qing is already shouting.
I feel tired. And I blame myself for this incident. If I just chose to be with Dayu in his engagement, none of these would have happened.
"What is going on online, Lao?" Qing asked me in a much calmer tone when the two instigators on this mess didn't speak up to defend themselves.
I reached for my phone lethargically, I feel like my strength is slowly leaving my body. That or it's my soul trying to escape our miserable existence.
I opened my phone and went to a social media site. "Congratulations...you two are the top search on the web today. The Consort and CSO combat. Kickass. Badass. The Consort's skills. Taekwondo. Judo. Aikido. Black belt Consort. CSO retaliate. The Consort's legs?" I feel confuse on the last one until I played the accompanied video and then it all made sense. "Ah, his legs...I see." I put down my phone to look at my three companion on that VIP hospital room. "I want a break. Can I take a vacation leave?"
I think I need a break to keep my sanity.
"Lao!" Both Chong and Dayu protested on my plan. I glared at both of them. Dayu looked down, guilt oozing from him. Chong winced at me. "I'm already in a hospital bed, Lao. Don't hurt me some more..." he pleaded to me.
"I should tie you there," I scowled at him. "All I ask was for you to look after my Consort. What did you do? You engaged him in a combat, without any protective gear on or a proper mat under your feet. Why? I don't understand. Please...explain this to me." I begged my hospitalized lover to do that for me.
"I don't know Lao," Chong sighed. "It just happened. Or maybe it's his temper," Chong glared at Dayu. "I was just teasing him. Not making this easy for him. But no...he had to let his leg fly and whack me in the head. It's his fault!"
"It is not!" Dayu glared back at Chong. "I asked you politely to help me in that demo. I even promised you a weekend break with Lao. Why did you try to kick my ass live online?"
"Because I am the CSO of the Royal Family. Do you really think I will let anyone think that it is easy for anyone to defeat a member of the Royal Family's guards?!" Chong's scowl on Dayu is deepening with each word he uttered. "We have our pride in the Royal Security Force."
"But I am your Consort. And it's a demo, Chong!" Dayu argued back.
"That's why I said lets do it properly, didn't I? But no, you have to show your temper to everyone and now we are all fucked up!" Chong is showing his own temper.
"I don't think so," Qing said. His Majesty is busy on his phone. "I think the only fucked up people are me and Lao." He showed me his phone. "Read those comments," he told me.
I read them silently at first and I wanted to die. If I won't get a call from my Uncle ShouWei, I will treat that as me using all my luck. I won't mind though. I won't mind emptying my luck pot as long as my uncle won't read these comments.
I cleared my throat to read them out loud. "Badass Consort, now we know why the King won't argue with him. His Majesty knows he will die if he will argue with his Consort."
"Oh my..." Dayu put a palm on his mouth to prevent his gasp from coming. But I am not done yet. I read on. "Now we know who is putting on the pants in that Royal Marriage. The Chief Aide must be one whopped ass boy, the CSO is deadly. No one can easily escape that deadlock hold the Consort performed on him but the CSO did it. I like him." I turned to Chong to smile at him. "Congratulations Baby, you acquired an admirer. Maybe you should whip his ass next."
