Chapter 14

Another morning came. Hindi ko mai-alis sa isipan ko ang nangyari kagabi. It repeated in my mind over and over again and the alternate endings that might have happened kung hindi naroon si Locke para sagipin ang buhay ko.

Nevertheless, kailangan ko pa ring pumasok. Who knows what awaits my arrival at school ? Maybe another murder plot, perhaps ? Possible. I took a shower at nagbihis na ako. The rays of the sun hit me as it rose over the horizon. This time, I cautiously looked around my surroundings to warn myself of any impending attacks. Mahirap na, baka pag labas ko pa lang ng pinto ko, patay na ako. Mabuti nalang at walang nangyari sa mga iniisip ko.

When the coast was clear, I started for the hallway pero nang paglingon ko, I was surprised to see Locke there. He hardly moved a muscle when he saw my reaction. Nang magkita ang aming mata, he eased off and smiled at me warmly.

Ngayon ko lang nakita na mayroon pala siyang kasama, she peeked out from his side. Of course she's with Locke. Anong ginagawa nila rito ?

"There's no threat in the vicinity, Locke." she reported.

"Thank you, Iza. You're a great help." she blushed lightly sa komplimentong kaniyang natanggap kay Locke.

"Anong ginagawa niyo ?" tanong ko. Why are they here so early on the morning ? "I was just on my way."

"We've come to escort you." sabi ni Locke. His eyes dug deep unto mine, scrutinizing my face. Escort me ? I think isa ito sa mga plano ni Locke para mapalapit sa akin.

"Nah, I don't need any escort. Kaya kong mag-isa." I proudly said.

"Kaya pala muntikan ka nang mamatay kahapon." he chuckled and I felt my cheeks go red. That was true. I was careless.

"No, really, I'm fine. I'll be extra careful from now on." I passed the two of them, walking down the hallway when something caught my foot at nadapa ako. I was fast to recover, only spending half a second on the ground and springing up again, dusting my clothes.

What a disaster. Kung kailan sinabi kong mag-iingat ako ! I could feel both of their eyes on me.  Anytime, they would burst out laughing.

"Anong sinabi mo ?" pang-aasar ni Elizabeth sa akin.

Narinig ko nanaman ang tawa ni Locke. Ughhh.... I don't think that there's anything that I could do right now. Nagpatuloy na lang ako sa paglalakad.

"Come on, it's our duty for now." sabi ni Locke. He was already beside me. I could sense his icy cold fingers wrapping around my shoulders. "The principal assigned us."

"The principal ?" of course, they had to report it ! This time, wala na talaga akong panama. I just had to let them go with me.

"Yes, we told him about what happened last night. He wants to meet with you later this afternoon."

A meeting ? Maybe Titus wants to know more about what happened. After all, seryoso ang insidenteng ito dahil concerned ang safety ng eskwelahan. Kung kailan nagkaroon ng pag-atake ng Deathbees, sumunod naman ito. What is happening ?

We walked around the field, towards the meeting point of where Diana and I always meet every morning. Ngayon ko lang napansin na pinag-titinginan na pala ako ng mga tao. This is all because of him. Nagtataka siguro sila kung bakit kasama ng First Seat ang isang Elemental.

I could see their stares habang dumadaan kami sa harapan nila. Nagbubulungan, spreading rumors that aren't true. Before you know it, it already spread like wilfdfire.
